Re: People Mover History (GREAT!) and Tomorrowland 1967

Well, I am at work so I cannot view the videos. I went last night and rode the Autopia for the first time in 4 years. One of those rides I don't go on all that often... Now that I have been driving for 22 years somehow having to wait for an hour in order to drive a souped-up lawnmower to me at least is somewhat not that appealing.

Anyway, I was standing in line and I did not realize this but they play the Peoplemover song in the queue! I didn't know what I was missing for the last 4 years, and seriously, I think I will go on it more often if anything to hear that song!

Can't wait to see the videos when I get home!

Wow! Look how awesome Tomorrowland looks! gah! I would love to have been there at the opening of it. I find the moon simulator amusing because it shows what people thought in 1967, how advance our technology would be nowadays...hehe...

You didn't? I'm surprised. I think they need to resurrect the attraction and call it the WEDWay.

THAT WAS FREAKIN AWESOME!!!.. I actually got goossebumps... oh wait they cranked up the AC for get it.. but it stillw as great to see how long this ride lasted but for some idiotic reason was changed to Rocket Rods and failed miserably and pretty much the orginal peoplemover could never comeback due to some grandfathered saftey issues. FREAKin bastards! I hope they bring some updated form of the peoplemover by the end of 2010.
Again awesome videos. Thanks for sharing! Made my day actually.

I'm sure you already know this, but the WED stood for Walter Elias Disney...

I miss that ride. Extinct Attractions Club made their own documentary DVD set on the People Mover.

The music was the music from the People Mover. It played while you rode it. Or it was very similar. Or I'm smoking some real good grass right now (JUST KIDDING).

I have the entire People Mover soundtrack on my iPod and in my iTunes.

These days I could get a contact high from the guys living downstairs from me. It just wafts under their door and up the stairwell and under my door. In fact, I felt compelled to write this because it's happening as we speak. It's really annoying actually I hate it, but it just started like that in the last couple months since January. Maybe someone got a new bong for Christmas? I don't know.
