What happened to the chinese food @ DCA?

Just wondering why the took it out and haven't put anything new in. I really enjoyed it and there seemed to be a line whenever I would eat there.

I don't think it's been open since the summer of 2001. If it has been I always miss it.

I say bring it back! We already have enough Mexican food places around the DLR. Lets have some Asian inspired food to mix it up a bit!

Re: What happened to the chinese food @ DCA?

When DCA opened, the ratio of dining vs rides was overwhelming. Too many places to eat, not enough attractions.

Hollywood & Dine and Lucky Fortune Cookery shuttered its doors.

H&D is still used on occasion for special events.

Shmoozies, Catch a Flave, San Andreas Shakes are open when busy.

Maliburritos and the Chicken Strips place got the axe for Toy Story/Midway Mania.

Slowly and surely, DCA will have balance. Eventually.

OK, I figured out what happened...

The Chinese Restaurant packed up to start working on Dubai Disneyland It'll be called "Cast Member Dining Hall #8" at the new park.

They are taking "Superstar Limo" off our hands and "Who Wants to Be A Billionaire - Live It!" is also a recycled attraction from DCA.

Don't they use the location now for the Wine and Food Festivals to sell those bite-sized samplers?

Very true, far too many eateries when the park opened.

But I'd still like to see a Chinese restaurant. Maybe move it. Place it in the San Francisco area facing the lagoon. A sit down place, with maybe a take out window located on the side for quick bites (a-la Ralph Brennans).

I was pretty amazed that a Disney theme park could actually have good Chinese food, especially considering how much I disliked what they passed off as Chinese food at Hollywood and Dine.

Lucky Fortune wasn't open for very long, but it had actually already started to decline before they finally shuttered it. When they had noodles and the dim sum platter, it was so incredibly good. But then they decided not to have it open even during peak lunch times on busy weekend days, and then they wondered why no one came. They took away those items and only left teriyaki bowls (not very good ones at that) and egg rolls. And then it finally closed.
