Here are some pics I took yesterday at both parks. Got there around 10:30 AM (horrible traffic on the 5 due to an accident). Didn't leave until 11 PM - long day.
My goal in taking pictures this time around was to be artsy and not take the general shots that tourists take. Also, I know none of the children in these photos. Here is to feeding the addiction some of you have
First off, the Haunted Mansion
Next I went over by Hungry Bear and took this picture of a pirate fort type thing on the Island.
Then I noticed a raft heading to the Island. He stopped to pick up these "suits" who were talking and pointing and had clipboards. I waited for them to come back, but they kept talking so I gave up.
The canoes by Hungry Bear
Capt'n Jack was out and about
The Columbia is docked during the day for people to board and look around. It cruises at night starting at 6 PM
The following saying is always a good idea
In the que waiting to board Big Thunder
This heron was on the bank of Rivers of America
Took several shots before I got this just right. I love digital cameras!
Woody was out by Thunder Ranch area
As was cowboy Goofy
Inside Thunder Ranch area
Inside the Ranch House, this is on the stone fireplace
This photo of Walt, with many others, is outside on the wall of the house
Isn't she cute? ... I mean the little girl
Spring is in bloom by the old Fantasyland Skyway station
Spring has sprung all over
The coat of arms for Mr. Toad
The room where the Evil Queen lives over Snow White. I like the blooming tree in front of it.
Be careful, or Monstro will get you
These riders made it through Monstro and are enjoying their cruise
The lanterns over the Teacups
Mary and Burt were with the band, performing in front of the castle
This shot of some real swans near the castle came out a little strange in both color and focus, but I kind of like it
Took a movie at Jedi Training, and Darth Maul came right up the ramp and put his face in my camera. This is a capture shot from the movie.
Painting on Star Tours building
Painting on Buzz Lightyear building
There was some character action going on over by the piano. Here's Mad Hatter
And Mary Poppins again
And these two adorable little girls were dressed just like Alice
Now my daughter, who had gotten off work, had joined me and we headed over to DCA
She really wanted to see It's Tough to be a Bug and so I took some shots of the Pixar bugs in the area. These came out the best
My final three photos (whew) are night shots. I have never tried this before but after seeing others on this forum and reading how they did this, I decided to give it a try. I just have a small four year old Sony camera so they are OK, considering.
This first one is my favorite. Astro Orbiter
and the Carousel
Hope you enjoyed my day in photos at Disneyland and DCA
