I don't want CM's to be from the "bottom of the barrell" when they are interacting so closely and intimately with my children. They are also incredibly esteemed by my kids. It is imperative that the quality of the employees at Disneyland remain absolutly impeccable. They should come from the TOP of the heap. That means PAY THEM MORE THAN BURGER KING for crying out loud.
If that means paying more for water then I'll be happy to pay it. My KIDS ARE WORTH IT. Just the security issue alone makes it sensible.
What happens when Disney gets sued because of employee incompetence? How much does that cost? Or when Tigger loses it again because he is just not the right one for the job? Or not properly trained? How much does that cost? It takes special people to do this! I KNOW I could not. I DO NOT have the patience. I thank all you CM's who hang in there. I REALLY hope better days (and of course more pay) are on the horizon for you. Maybe Families spend more time in the park if that happens - lord knows the quality will also go up (with the pay, as it always does).
One lawsuit could cost double or triple what pay raises would cost.
