Bright and early, for us anyway, the day started at 9:30am as Dustysage, Gemini Cricket and I sped off to the Resort. Today was Gemini Cricket's Birfday and Dusty and I were in charge of making sure our favorite cricket had a great celebration. We asked him what he wanted to do, who he wanted to invite and then put his requests into motion.
I had put together a special birthday mix of songs that we listened to on our way to the happiest place on Earth. We all sang along to such classics as "Put another candle on the Birthday cake" and the Happy Birthday song sung by dogs. Class all the way.
-Story Teller's Café 10 am
Parking in our now favorite lot, Pumbaa, we excitedly ran towards the enjoyable path when...
There was no more sign telling us to enjoy the path.
Sadly, we walked to the resort.
The park was already showing signs of it being a record day at the parks. Thankfully that didn't matter. We had an agenda for the day that didn't depend on light crowds. We had to get to Storytellers, and fast. DCA's gates were open and there were light crowds in the Sunshine Plaza as we cut through that park to get straight to the restaurant.
The MONORAIL! YAY!
We got to Storyteller's on time and Rixter, MickeMax and Pezz Lightyear, Greg and Jenny were already there.
Pezz Lightyear aka BEST DAD EVER!
I ran inside to check in as more gathered outside.
The staff at Storyteller's called our party in and seated us on time. Once all were settled we all headed for the buffet. NotAfraid hurriedly decorated each place setting with a Tinkerbelle party hat and noise makers.
The fun began.
Dusty passed on the birthday hat
NotAfraid presented the tiara
Rosie O'Donnell showed up
Tim and the rest of the staff were GREAT!
Dusty and I got GC Borat
The Congress of the Cons at the party
JudiMouse attacked Miko
Grumpy4 smiles for the camera
Fishbulb and Miko
We then joined the Skip-to-my-loo conga line again
Rixter busted a few moves
Not Afraid got fun-kay
I really have to say that the ENTIRE STAFF at Storyteller's Cafe were very accommodating, helpful, and went the extra mile to make our little Birthday party Breakfast memorable. Thanks guys!
After our Birfday Breakfast Buffet CoasterMatt and Rose invited us to go visit the newest members of their family over at the Disneyland Kennel.
The Birthday boy guided the group over to see the puppies while Grumpy4 and I loaded the Cricket Birthday Booty into a locker near Guest Services.
The dogs were just so cute. CoasterMatt and Rose saved these two dogs from certain death. Their previous owner simply wanted to get rid of them because they made too much noise while they were left home alone all day.

Thankfully our MiceChatter's are a loving and Humane group.
After the fun with the dogs Gemini Cricket wanted to ride the Monorail(D'oh!) to check up on the Sub Lagoon Progress.
We got a group in in front of the flower Mickey up front...
and then went on to Main Street and over to Space Mountain to get Fast Passes for later in the day.
Now it was time for Monorail.
The queue needs some shade.
We were quickly loaded onto the next available Monorail.
On the way back we got to ride in the tail.
Gemini Cricket made faces at the jealous children below.
That was fun. Well it was time for some of our group to leave. We bid farewell to GeneralYou, NotAfraid, Greg and Jenny and decided it was time for a voyage on Pirates.
