    The Discontinued Decade

    1992: Mission to Mars Closes

1993: Motor Boat Cruise Closes, Tahitan Terrace Closes

    1994: Fantasyland/Tomorrowland Skyway Closes

    1995: PeopleMover Closes

1996: Main Street Electrical Parade ends

1997: Rocket Jets Close, Captain EO Closes, Circle-Vision Closes, Mike Fink Keelboats Close

    1998: Submarine Voyage Closes

1999: Swiss Family Treehouse Closes, Original Autopia Closes

    2000: Rocket Rods

2001: Sleeping Beauty Castle Walk-Thru Closes, Country Bear Playhouse Closes

If you had to choose an attraction to close each year of the next decade to make way for something new, which attractions would you close?

    Re: The Discontinued Decade

I would say Star Tours. Close it, but only to update it. Maybe even keep the same "destination", but clean up the film, fix up the simulator, and use both lines of the queue!!!

Grr...why don't they use both lines? That really annoys me! Grr!!!
Took mom to Disneyland for the first time in over 20 years this week! Woo!

    Re: The Discontinued Decade

I think the 90's, despite some upsides like the Indian Jones Adventure, have already gone down in history as the worst decade for Disneyland EVER.

    Thanks alot, Eisner/Pressler/Harris.

THAT is an EVIL question! We haven't recovered from the last
group of Disney managers who DID that to DL!

Now, on the other hand, DCA is a completely different story.

WOW! I didn't realize just how many attractions they let go in the 90's. I'm actually shocked by it! What's even worse is that most of what they got rid of they never replaced with anything else...now that's sad!

2010--Big Thunder Ranch to make way for a new Frontierland E-ticket attraction

2014--Innoventions gets the boot and replaced by view friendly terrace-style dining establishment(s), and a tommorowland of yesterday tribute.

2017--HISTA/Starcade/Startrader to be replaced by New Adventure Thru Inner Space

2020--Princess Faire Fantasyland Theatre area replaced by an expanded Fantasyland dark ride area including Sleepy Hollow DR, as well as Robin Hood DR.

and destroy the ToonTown mess just for the fun of it.

    Re: The Discontinued Decade

I agree about making modifications to Satr Tours...but not shutting it down in full. I also agree with HISTA because we most certainly need a new 3D film in there. Other than that, I really hate seeing attractions close...I just like seeing stuff get altered a little.

If the park's management didn't close all those rides Disneyland would have to be shut down unfortunately
