Photos of Rancho del Zocalo, the hallway back in there, with the wall planters and the inside with all of the Mexican lanterns hanging from the ceiling and the pottery on the walls. That place inspired me to decorate my home with that stuff!!!
Froggy,
I haven't had the chance to ask this and these pictures are the perfect opportunity! Did you find yourself noticing more details and taking these wonderful pictures because of the time spent playing WIDW? Or are you so good at WIDW because you are the kind of person who just notices details anyway?
Either way, these pictures are fabulous!
I love my awesome crazy wonderful friends!!
"Do you remember in kindergarten, how you’d meet a kid, then 10 seconds later you’d be playing like you were best friends?"* * *
Howzabout this -- I heard that on Buzz Lightyear, somewhere they left a mural or something from America The Beautiful as a tribute -- has anyone seen that?
Not sure if you're aware of it, but that sign is a reference the original "El Zocalo Park" which was also sometimes called the "Mexican Village"...that sat there in that spot and featured a large open market of merchandise and hand crafted goods. The El Zocalo Market was there when the Park first opened (inspired by the Zorro television series) and for several decades after.
Here's a couple of vintage shots of it:
And here's a shot of a ceramic hat that was sold there, that I found on someone's blog (sorry...don't recall which).
So El Zocalo Park is not named for the restaurant, but the restaurant is named for the old Park and Market that used to be there.![]()
Thanks Tinkermonkey!
I appreciate the compliment, and absolutely YES, those hours spent playing WIDW on this board helped me notice details ... with our without a camera. I can't go into a Disney park without thinking "hmm, I wonder if they'd ever guess this one...?"
In fact, I've taken a few photos I haven't posted anywhere that I have available to me for future use... heh heh.
UPDATE: Just updating the thread before I leave!

Maybe Chip N Dale in their Dream outfits. Pirates? Capt Jack?
I personally like "The End" (Fishbulb) shots. Those are always appreciated.
Still looking for some good shots of the critter houses (I believe they are supposed to be the Pooh character's) near the Many Adventure of Winnie the Pooh.
That was wonderful! Bravo! I loved that! Ah, that was great! Well, it was pretty good. Well, it wasn't bad. Uh, there were parts of it that weren't very good though. It could have been a lot better. I didn't really like it. It was pretty terrible. It was bad. It was awful! It was terrible! Take 'em away! Boo! Boo!
