Is POTC really replacing Peter Pan in Fantasmic!?

I was talking to Sam yesterday and he told me about an odd occurance that happened earlier in the week... About 45 minutes after closing, he said that he was wandering through NOS and he saw a bunch of F! CM's over by the NOS bathrooms and he overheard them talking about the Columbia. On his way out, they were raising the light towers for F!!! He also said that there were F! CM's all over the Columbia. You think they might be testing a new scene for the show (Pirates)? If so, would you be upset if Peter Pan was replaced for a POTC scene?

In my oppinion, I would be kinda mad if they took Pan out only because I love to see people jump when they shoot the cannon at the beginning of the scene

But then again, you know that they are going to make it really cool. I think if they are replacing such a prominent scene in the show, they are going to have to top it. As much as I would miss the Peter Pan scene, POTC would be awesome!

What wouldn't work though, is all the other characters in Fantasmic! come from Disney's ANIMATED movies. POTC is live action. Does Mickey Mouse dream in live action or in animation?

That's my thinking exactly. And Peter Pan is a classic. That whole sequence is fun, musically vivid, and full of character. A Pirates sequence would be what... jack sparrow and davy jones sound-alikes?

We have the ride and the daytime stunt show forthcoming. No need to FIX Fantasmic. We all know how Florida's turned out.

Good point, but she interacts with animated characters in her movie. And there isn't a whole MARY POPPINS Sequence with a giant float, I think she just rides the Mark Twain at the very end of the show. I can't really remember her in Fantasmic, but I have a vague memory of picking her out of the crowd on the Mark Twain.

Mary Poppins on the Mark Twain is sort of an afterthought. They can change that entire cast of characters and it wouldn't effect the overall show too much.
