    Stroller or no Stroller?

Hi Gang, We will be going to DL in a month or so, and we have a 3 1/2 yr old daughter. Let's just say that she is a typical healthy girl for her age. I can imagine those little legs might get tired before ours, but then again it would be too bad to have her in a stroller a lot of the time... anybody have any experience with this situation? If it matters it will be just the three of us, mom, dad and daughter.

The thread title sounds like Deal.. or No Deal? Ok sorry. Um whenever I go to WDW, all the toddlers are either in strollers or one of those kid seating thingies that people put around their chest. I'm assuming that's because they don't want their child walking off, but I may be wrong. Have fun in DL!

I was in a stroller until I was 3 1/2, but I really wanted to walk after that. However annoying strollers may be to other guests, many other guests don't understand that sometimes they are necessary. As long as proper "stroller ettiquette" is maintained, then I'd bring one just in case, because based on what my mom says, when kids are tired of walking, they mean it.

When my son was your daughter's age, he HATED strollers. We did bring his stroller with us, but he insisted on walking most of the time anyway, or insisted we carry him. But the minute we would try to get him to sit in his stroller he would have a fit! It was easier to get him in there if his surroundings were boring, but try finding a place like that in Disneyland!

Thanks for the reply, our daughter is way beyond the chest carrier thing! She gets around as well as mom or dad, just trying to feel out any advantage or need for the stroller...

It doesn't matter if your daughter is a champion cross country runner, she is going to be exhausted no matter what. Plus it would be nice to have one just in case she needs to have a quick nap. I would highly reccomend a stroller on one condition, you dont take my ankles off with one!

This sounds great! Strollers are a great way to help kids have a good tiime. Leave it to her, if she wants to be in the stroller, let her be, if she wants to walk, let her walk. That way everyone has a good time, you, your daughter and those around you.

The only thing I would also echo, is do not become a "stroller warrior". As long as everyone is courteous, no matter what, everyone has a good time.

    Just MHO, YMMV

I posted a question regarding a similar issue and someone responded that a stroller questions pops up once a month. And Behold here's another one.
We have 2 small girls under 3 yrs and there is no way I am not taking a stroller.
No matter what age you are you need a break. And small kids are lucky enough to have a moveable break place and take a nap.

I always thought they ought to offer kid-size lockers

different sizes for various age groups and body mass

Could have them themed with different internal decorations according to kids favorite land.

Then we would all be free to roam the park without having to dodge strollers and listen to whiny children!

Do they have a stroller for a 6-4 280 lb. guy, I get tired too! NEXT question would be is it worth bringing our own fold-up stroller... we want to get right into the park asap and I hear there could a bit of a "stroller line" at opening each day? Thanks for your responses.

You should be carried in a backpack instead.

Just make sure you bring 4-6 people to each carry a corner of it.

If I were you. I would start the day without it, and if worse comes to worse and she gets really tired then get a stroller.
