Quick fix for Motor Boat puddle

That Motor Boat Cruise loading area is looking like a malaria breeding pit. And why has it just been empty all of these years anyway?

You know what would be a great quick-fix?

Send out one of those Nautilus submarine corpses from WDW and set it up in that small lagoon, just as an atmosphere/photo spot (until that area is rehabbed someday). Who doesn't love the Nautilus?

Wouldn't that be a nice detail, using a nice existing prop that can be salvaged? Rather than - - nothing? A little dramatic lighting... Then paint the railings and benches and nearby carts to reflect the Nautilus theme.

The Nautilus idea is a good one. If money was a concern, they could always just produce a new sign, and make it an attraction :"Evinrude's Malaria Breeding Pit".

How about bringing the Pirate Ship Restaurant back? That was gone before my first visit to DL in 1984. But the pictures look soooo cool! Can't believe they ever took it out! From the sound of it, it was one of the parks most popular restaurants. How about some good ole fish n' chips!

Not only does it breed malaria, it's also full of those turkey legs. After people take one bite and realize it isn't very good they toss it into the drink.

Absolutely! Was the original boardable? Seems like now would be a good time to bring it back with the re-release of the original PP on DVD.

That would be the best plan of all if they wanted spend the money - - bring back Captain Hook's Ship and Skull Rock in that location.

If you mean his idea of restoring the pirate ship - - definitely.

But if you're talking about the original post re: the Nautilus - - I don't think that would be possible with an existing WDW sub - - just use it as a super-cool scenic prop.

...Of course if they wanted to put a Nautilus walk thru ala DLP there it would be fine by me!

The back portions of the waterways seem to be changing to an escape path for subs - - but that doesn't look to affect the forward channels or the loading lagoon/pool by the Matterhorn.
