    The Monte Cristo

Does anyone have a photo of this famous sandwich? I am curious to see what you think about this sandwich and if you think it's worth it?

I did not take the photos but I have eaten the sandwich and it is delicious. My husband and I split it and it was more than enough!

I have a photo of the Monte Cristo from Nate n' Al's in Beverly Hills.

    Blue Bayou's is better though.

    Oh, it's worth it

Blue Bayou and Cafe Orleans make the best ones.

I know it sounds like an odd thing to eat, but the flavors truly complement each other.

It's very filling though, so be prepared!

Blue Bayou and Cafe Orleans has the same stuff. Cafe Orleans is cheaper.

    Re: The Monte Cristo

I just made my PS for Cafe Orleans lunch for this Thursday. I'm thinking of trying the sandwich for the first time. I like everything in it but I've seen pictures with powdered sugar on it. Does it say that in the menu? I just want to remember to ask for the sandwich without.

Anyone tried the one with the 3 cheeses? That looks especially yummy. Also, if it is quite filling should my friend and I maybe split that and the pomme frites?
    Thank you! (Yay! DL soon!)

    Re: The Monte Cristo

Worth every penny if you love them...and I do....heck, a craving for one cost me over a thousand dollars (expensive sandwich) I craved it so badly that I planned a whole trip just so I could get one...

I know it's less at Cafe Orleans, and that it's the same thing, but I still prefer the BB (atmosphere enhances the flavor )

yes, I'm a dork, I know this, I do not care...

I do love them, I always get the one at Bennigans and it's heaven.

Thanks for the photos, it appears that it is similar to the Bennigan's version which is a good thing.

I've gotten the one from Bennigan's many times... it's HUGE! I eat a quarter, bring the rest home and I can't even finish the leftovers.
