My Experience at Casting...

As I near the end of my high school years, I finally decided it was time for me to get a job, especially because I need to pay for the Disneyworld trip I'll be taking this summer, so I decided to try to get a job at the place I love the most, DISNEYLAND! Last Saturday, me and two of my friends went to the casting center to apply for attractions position. We first filled out one paper scheduling application and two online applications. One of my friends was not able to get through because she had scheduling issues in the summer. Anyways, my other friend and I got through that part and then watched an Intro video of working at Disneyland, all about the "Disney Difference" and such. After that part, we had to take this online "interview". It asked questions about our personality and such, to see if we had the "stuff" to be a castmember. Such fun! hahah =P

Anyways, both my friend and I were invited to have an interview, but were asked to return next week for the interview, so my interview was actually yesterday. My interview included one other person I did not know. She was actually returning to work at Disneyland after she worked here for 3 months last summer. The interview went pretty well for me. The other girl did not get the job, but I did! I am now an Adventureland Attractions CM. I have paperwork and traditions coming this week and I could not be more excited. Since I'll be spending more time at the park now, maybe I'll be able to see you guys!

Anyways, just thought I'd share my experience with you guys.

Because I'm not sure about my college schedule, I basically let them know that I would be ending my summer work before I leave for Disneyland, that's what I wrote down on the app, for now, and they said that it was fine.

I get most of my college acceptances this week, so I'll just have to wait and see. So far I've gotten into UCI and UCSD with pretty big scholarships and I also got into Berkeley. =D

and with your Cast Member ID you'll be able to get into WDW for free =) you'll also be able to sign in 3 friends for free at WDW and get a pretty good discount at the hotels there

The waiting period has turned into a joke really. You will get your ID after you finish traditions. About a week or so later you will get your Main Gate Pass in the mail. This is only for CR or above though.

well, when i got mine, they claim its part of the promotion. :\

Disneyland is currently VERY understaffed. My department just got like 20 people on Sat...

im gonna hate it sooooo badly! 1) i was trained for DCA AND DLR... new Trainees are only trained at DLR... aka means ill be stuck at DCA -_-
