PeopleMover Replacement Based on Meet the Robinsons?

I been looking at the Meet the Robinsons clips and I noticed a PeopleMover like system in the future.

    Note: Image is Copyright Disney.

I know Al Lutz talked about the PeopleMover seen in the Incredibles most likely being the PeopleMover's next replacement due to the fact it can possibly meet safety requirements. However, doesn't this PeopleMover from Meet the Robinsons make more sense since it is themed to the future, as opposed to the Incredibles? My guess it depends if Meet the Robinsons is a success.

Maybe it's supposed to be an easter egg in the movie.

    Btw, I'm really not eight.

So I'm sitting at my computer thinking, hey, I need a creative signature so that people on micechat will remember me. And then it hits me: I'll just type it up!
    I sure am creative.

Nothings written in stone. I've been thinking similar thoughts that we could end up with a PeopleMover type of attraction that is based on either film.

Also, isn't this version enclosed? Wouldn't that help with all the safety regulations that Disney needs in order to put something on the track?!

Yup. MEET THE ROBINSONS looks like a great fit. The enclosed vehicles will help keep people from doing anything stupid. I hope they're air conditioned though!

I really think this could be Disneyland's next "E Ticket" after the subs open. They'd be smart to open one ride and announce another, then hold off on any announcements until the next thing is up and running and so forth.

Well, if you've seen the previews, "Todayland" is a parody of Tomorrowland. There is also Space Mountain in the background.

I think this is even a more telling image:

An homage/not-so-inside joke, certainly. But we all know Disney's all about the synergy. Why not bring back the elements of the classic Tomorrowland with a tie-in to a newer movie?

    Just a thought.

I can't see this ride being an E-ticket unless it was majorly revamped. I mean, its a lovely ride - the TTA at the Magic Kingdom is such a nice ride - but it's not an E-ticket. I'd say it is more C/D standard. I think people are referring to it as an E-ticket because of the love they had for it and how much they want it to return - but looking at the show elements, it really isn't E-ticket quality at all. I couldn't compare the PeopleMover to Pirates or Haunted Mansion without being quite intoxicated.

Not to say that it couldn't be an E-ticket. If major show elements were added in enclosed track areas etc, and I mean major - not an updated Tron tunnel - I reckon this could be turned into a major ride for Disneyland. But come on people - its just some cars on a track.

The original PeopleMover was a D Ticket.

    There you go.

I think it would great if Disney made the effort and transformed the ride into an E-ticket. Just lets forget any more Rocket Rods inspired ideas.

I think if it comes back it'll come back as an E Ticket not as Tomorrowland Transit Authority.

TTA would be great as a way to go from Disneyland to, say, Mickey and Friends.

I can't see them spending the money to redo the track, UNLESS it came back as an all new MUST RIDE attraction. Tied into a movie of course.

Re: PeopleMover Replacement Based on Meet the Robinsons?

Well seeing that MEET THE ROBINSONS takes place IN the future, a transportation system inspired by the film would be a far better fit than The Incredibles.

But... I don't want it to be a MEET THE ROBINSONS ride. I want it only to be inspired through the design of it.

I just want the basic ride of it to be the way I've always loved it, but evolving to reflect how Tomorrowland is.
