    Hunger

I seems that every time my wife and I are at Disneyland or DCA we just can't stop eating. Not just snacks we want food! Does any one else experience this? As soon as we walk throught the gates one of us asks the inevitable question "You Hungry?" Does this happen to any of you or are we just gluttons for park food? We love the Fried Chicken at the French Market Restaurant.

It is the same for me. I do not know what it is, but I usually peck at food and maybe eat 2 times a day, but there I have to have as many meals as possible. That is why I try and limit myself to lunch and popcorn.

Solution: don't bring in a lot of money. Leave cc's in the car. You are experiencing a Pavlovian response.

You can also make up for this glutton-fest by eating less (or more smartly) the rest of the week.

we've tried to not take much money but it's hard. everywhere we go theres something to eat. we do eat smarter though, we tend to hit the fruit cart when the feeding urge gets to be too much.

Same here, but we're all about the snacks, and we just can't stop: popcorn, Dole whips, churros, Bengal bbq skewers, Gibson Girl ice cream cones, Refreshment/Coke Corner cherry Cokes, cotton candy, pickles from the fruit stand by Jungle Cruise, S'mores from the Main St. candy store, soft serve ice cream cones with those flavor stripey swirls (orange or bubble gum for me) in DCA .... jeez, and then on the way out through Downtown Disney I gotta get a big bag of kettle corn, too..... ARRRRGGGHHHHH!!!!!

    Re: Hunger

I think I'm the opposite. I don't like getting hungry or eating in Disneyland. Hunger is just an obstacle to get whatever you want to get done for your visit. I think that's why I only do DL in 4-5 hour spurts. I usually eat before or after I go.

    Re: Hunger

What happens with me is, I get extremely hungry during the middle of the day while at the park, and after having seen and smelled all the scents of D-land, go to Cafe Orleans or Carnation Cafe and get some HUGE meal, end up getting stuffed after only eating 1/3 of it, take the rest to go and peck on that during the fireworks.... So, I do get hungry, but usually only eat one meal...

    Re: Hunger

I thought it was just me!!

I live on a VERY limited diet due to a very sensitive stomach, but as soon as I hit the park, it's all out the window (even though I know I'll pay for it later).

It's nice to know that the park has this effect on others and not just me.

YAY for Disney food!....man I'm hungry....

    Re: Hunger

I randomly snack a lot at the resort and sit down to eat once or twice.

Of course, I visit the park maybe once a year and I spend the whole day, opening to closing time in the park, walking around. My mind says that they negate each other.

I always start the day off with a Strawberries Wild from Jamba Juice, though.
