Disneyland Hotel WaterFalls still accessible at night?

I remember a number of years back it was beautiful to walk around the Disneyland Hotel waterfalls at night, it was a very romantic walk with the waterfalls illuminated and very soothing to listen to. About a month or so ago I walked to the waterfalls at night and was suprised to see that the walkway was closed off, there was no way to walk under the waterfalls via the path. Do they just close this at night? or is this always closed these days? I am hoping it was just a temporary cloasure because that is what I loved most about the hotel!

They definitely close them at night. They don't want anything un-Disney going on down there! The last time I went was about a year ago and it was open during the day, but that could have changed since then.

They used to turn off the Horseshoe Falls at 11pm every night. I know they still do turn them off, but I'm not sure they still use the same 11pm time.

That is true, it is just a little yellow chain easily taken down over by the bench in front of the store that sells the glass things. I don't know if I would try it though because the last couple of times my fiance and I have been sitting on that bench security patrols that area pretty heavily doing walkthroughs with their flashlights.

When I went in '04 and we walked around the hotel to see what's changed ('99 was my last visit up to that point), they were closed off during the day. I hope those falls don't go away. The falls and koi pond added a little serenity to the area.

It was pretty late when I went down there and it's been a while. We had just got kicked out of the neon cactus (now the lost bar) for being to rowdy in a "family bar"....actually I think I was asked to leave when I questioned the concept of a family bar...anyway...then we went down there. We just stepped over the chain. Nobody stopped us.....we were also playing the pianos that were around....we were pretty drunk. I may not have done it sober...

The falls are only closed off at night... they usually close them around 6... but during the summer season.. not so sure.

They occasionally close them during the day if it gets too slippery...

The falls are not going anywhere as of right now... but not to far from now we may see some major changes with that whole area including the koi ponds, waterfalls, and the old Fantasy Waters Theater.

I know it's too much to hope for Fantasy Waters again, but they really should do SOMETHING with that area, and quick!

When I was a kid I used to love falling asleep to the sound of the waterfalls from our hotel room and walking through there in the day when it was so hot!
