    Disneyland Cats...

Are there really cats that live in Disneyland? How did they get in there? I saw a mouse once in line for the Jungle Cruise, are they there for the purpose of killing mice? Just curious....

yes, there are cats there. I've seen three different ones during thr day in DL. I've seen several in DCA.

There is a thread about them....

    here's one...

    Re: Disneyland Cats...

    This is funny....

My sister, mom, cousin and I were eating at the Hungry Bear during our first ever trip to DL (WDW vets), it was first thing for lunch, 11:30...

all of a sudden like 3 or 4 cats come up to us for food!

Needless to say, we were slightly freaked out. The CM said they live there, didn't give much more elaboration.

Later while in line for the monorail we heard a CM yell out, "Look, there's Mickey!" We looked down and there was a mouse walking right in front of us (yup, a real mouse).

Maybe that's why the cats were there

BTW, I love DL and now visit once a year (twice for the 50th), so please don't think I'm picking on DL, I just wanted to share my cat story

There's a long and winding picture thread on just this topic HERE

How did they get there? Cats get everywhere, it's not like they need a park hopper Disney Management tolerate them as they keep the vermin population down.

Disneyland adopts homeless kittens of Anaheim. They primarily do it to handle any potential rodent problems.

I see cats every time I am at Hungry Bear!! They are so cute and funny to see them inside of DL. I think it was Darkbeer who had some night photos of a cat laying in the Mickey floral inside the main gate. So adorable!

I saw a RAT at DL last year, so, I am glad the cats are there!!

Aren't the new animatronic cats so realistic? I hear they even eat real food.

    Re: Disneyland Cats...

It may have all been started by a mouse, but Disney doesn't want mice. I'm surprised they don't add a few cats to their petting zoo.
