I know there will be a million TRs for today – but I just HAD to add mine in! I had such a great time! Now, I can hear a lot of you saying…wait, cpdisneyprincess wasn’t at the meet! Hah! That’s what YOU think – there were a lot of people and it was easy to get lost in the crowd. So, here it is - The Trip Report You Weren’t Expecting.
I got to the park somewhat early:
And got a great parking spot! I hoped on the escalator and made my way to the tram. There was a fair crowd so I had to wait a bit. While waiting I watched the trams and got so excited about the new merger to Tram Chat! I mean, Trams are so super cool! Great move mod people. Great move! Finally I was able to beat out snotty teenagers and screaming kids for a place on the tram and I was off to Disneyland!
Pin and camera bags in hand I headed toward the main gates:
The crowds were pretty bad and it took me forever to get into the park! Finally I made it through the gates and into the place formerly known as The Happiest Place on Earth. Cursing the gross graffiti on the entrance tunnels, I made my way to main street. On main street I ran into some rare characters – three to be exact!
As well as one of my favorite Donkeys!
I figured I was still early for the Meet, so a trip on the World Famous Jungle Cruise sounded refreshing. However, I noticed a few things this trip that I had never noticed before:
I’ve seen the sleeping zebra many times, but never the sleeping tiger!
Nor the weird Wolf like creature!
And I’d never noticed how plastic the alligators looked!
After this I decided to go over and see if there was an opportunity to take a sneak peak at what was going on with the subs! To my surprise I got this first look at a major part of this new attraction and even had the opportunity to test it out for myself!! Ladies and Gentlemen of MiceChat……I give you, THE FINDING NEMO SUBS……………LINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In this line You will wait….
And wait…
And wait some more….
Until you have waited so long you’ve forgotten what you are waiting for…and you get up and leave.
After that once in a life time opportunity to preview such a long awaited line, it was time for the noon meet – so off to the hub!
The meet was in full swing!
I saw that PrincessButtercup had made her not-secret-anymore trip safely!
And ran into the wonderful Sadako - munching on Pocky!
Speaking of Pocky, I had brought some to share –
But I got hungry in the Nemo line and I ate it all…
We all headed off to lunch – it was very yummy! There was much laughter and silliness as there is with any MiceChat meet! Yay! After lunch it was off to Pirates:
And Haunted Mansion:
A decision to something a lil out of the norm was made – and the tea cups were next up on the list!
You know, not only have they slowed these things down – but I’m pretty sure they shrunk them too – probably some evil plot to be able to fit more tea cups in and therefore stuff more people on the ride in less time…..or maybe it’s just me….
After the squishy Tea Cups the Magic Kingdom was exited and a trek was made to “That Other Place” Over there we hit a bunch of rides – there were almost no lines at all!!!

Ran into the DCA Push:
It was a super hot day – I was ready to cool down a little to off to GRR it was! And BOY – did I get soaked!!!!
I hadn’t done the whole Rockin’ California Screaming….so that was next on the agenda – just to have done it….
I figured, heck, I did one ride I don’t enjoy all that much – I can do another. So it was off to Hollywood Backlots to check out the ToT line. Along the way I ran into a very rare Princess Minnie:
The line for Tower wasn’t bad – so I braved it. However, I discovered they were doing something special for April Fools Day only – the Tower of Tables!
It still was scary as heck!
After a brief dinner it was nearly time for the Parade formally known as MSELP! I took a short video clip:

And even though no one sat for hours upon hours – pretty good spots were found for the Fireworks! I got one or two good pics:
And a fairly good close up of Tink. I think people saw Frogberto’s close ups of Tink and they realized how demonic she looked because this Tink looked great!!
Fireworks were amazing as always! I love that show!! The crowds thinned out pretty quick afterwards so Indy was up!
It seemed a lot lighter in there today….

After saving the universe from the evil Zerg, a leisurely stroll through Fantasyland as it cleared out sounded lovely.
I pulled the sword out the stone when I was about 6 – haven’t been able to do it again since….
As the park closed down I got sucked into the madness that is the Disneyland Shops…. I splurged…
Tired but happy from my full day of adventures I stumbled back to my vehicle! I had such a wonderful time today – I hope everyone else had as much fun as I did! There is nothing like a MiceChat meet – even when you can’t really be there…….
