    Wells Expedition

13 years ago today, Disney CEO Frank Wells was killed in a helicopter crash.

He is paid with a tribute in the Materhorn with a box that says "Wells Expedition" He loved to climb.

Be sure to spot it before you go around the bend. A few ice picks are lying on it near the lit up ice cyrstals.

That sucks...but it's cool that there's a tribute to him!
Welcome to the Aperture Science Enrichment Center.

If you ever see a skinny eight year-old looking kid sprinting through Adventureland, yell "Hi!" at me!
    Btw, I'm really not eight.

So I'm sitting at my computer thinking, hey, I need a creative signature so that people on micechat will remember me. And then it hits me: I'll just type it up!
    I sure am creative.

That date will live in infamy amongst Disney Fans forever. With his death, there was no one left to say "NO" to Eisner and we all know what happened after that. It was indeed a sad day and Mr. Wells was a good man who kept a right reign on things Disney.

What does the writing say that pays his tribute on there?

For example, Walt's says Laugh of Grams in Toontown.

Oh I forgot. It's something about expeditions though.

    Re: Wells Expedition

I was working as an intern at Hollywood Pictures that day, and went to the memorial on a sound stage a week later. Until the 50th rededication with Art Linkletter, it was one of the most emotional moments of my life. There was a huge chorus singing "The Circle of Life", and an even larger chorus of heaving sobs.

Thanks manabyte. I have heard that is there and I can never spot it. I guess my mind is too busy trying to brace myself and not get tossed around so much that I never have the opportunity to look around.

Off topic -- I hate the Matterhorn sooooo much... But I hope it stays forever, and just the way it is!
