Yes, I do exist. And thank you all for welcoming me.
A little background…
I got my first AP when Disney was one of my clients. In those days, DCA was still on the drawing boards, and the main online source of DL info was Al’s “Disneyland Information Guide,” posted weekly to alt.disney.disneyland. (Am I the only one who remembers Usenet before it was ruined by spam?)
I sometimes attended Sunday meets (back when they were a truly unpredictable assortment of people from all over the world), and made some friends there. I moved on to other non-DL-related jobs, but I renewed my AP for years.
However, one by one, my other AP friends moved out of the area. So, I stopped renewing my pass, and I haven’t had one for about five years. Anyway, last month I finally missed DL so much that I decided to spring for an AP again.
It’s nice to discover a group of people who -- like me -- have decided they’re going to have fun at DL even if they *can’t* talk their friends or family into going with them. Hopefully we’ll all make *more* friends in the process.
The highlight of my first day back? Drinking a mint julep in NOS while listening to Dixieland jazz!
See you at the park.
^ Nice meeting you last week Trader Chris!
Woo Usenet r00lz, old school!!
Good to have ya back!
No words, My tears won't make any room for more,
And it don't hurt, like anything I've ever felt before, this is
No broken heart,
No familiar scars,
This territory goes uncharted...
Wow, I remember the DIG days. But that's when meeting people on the internet was more taboo! hehe.
Now if people ask me if I met anyone on the internet, the answer is "yah hundreds!"

Hey, we rocked in the old days*. Those noon meets have been going on since the 90's
(*-we rock now, too)
Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...
Yes, and it's nice to see some familiar faces around, Morri. Hope to see you at some of the meets.
Now, by popular request... Here are some photos from hell...
Somehow, these imps aren't as threatening as the phrase "eternal damnation" would suggest.
John Cleese in drag (and with horns) is a little scarier than the imps,... But it's nothing we haven't already seen on Monty Python's Flying Circus.
"Yessir... Prospectors been diggin' gold outta this here Calico Mountain fer years now..."
The imps may be the best part of this ride. They look like some kind of cross between a demon and a duck.
Sweet! Those pics are great, Chris. I think the imps kinda look like Pain and Panic from Hercules. But that devil is definitely John Cleese in drag. LOL
Are you telling me that you built a theme park.. out of a vinery and a bear shaped mountain?!!?..
