NOS still exploding from Pirates Lair?

We've heard the rumors that cannon fire from TSI is supposed to cause chimneys to explode and the facades to smoke and whatnot. Well, if this is happening I would have expected them to put some of the NOS facades under tarps or at least have scaffolding up.

Today in the parks I noticed that the loading dock is now behind construction wall and the only scaffolding in NOS is on the roof by the bathrooms near the Trains.

So will this still come to pass seeing as it hasn't been started on yet?

From my understanding the falling chimneys where on the show building on the Fantasmic stage. So some cannons facing that and other cannons facing the water.
