Last Minute Trip Questions

Well it isn't exactly last minute but still. I have a few questions about rides. I've been to Disneyland too many times to count, but still I am clueless about a few things.

Question 1: If you get seasick from rocking boats, do you suffer very much on Grizzly River Rapids?

Question 2: How is Big Thunder for scares compared to Splash? Remember I'm a bit of a scaredy cat.

Question 3: Is Mullholland Madness scary if I don't find Gadget Go Coaster scary? (I highly doubt it)

Question 4: Does Pizza Oom Mow Mow have good food?

Question 5: Is the DRR running this week

Question 6: Is the Columbia Sailing Ship running if the Mark Twain isn't?

Question 7: Where does Maynard work right now?

Question 1: If you get seasick from rocking boats, do you suffer very much on Grizzly River Rapids?

Probably not

Question 2: How is Big Thunder for scares compared to Splash? Remember I'm a bit of a scaredy cat.

You will be fine... just scream!

Question 3: Is Mullholland Madness scary if I don't find Gadget Go Coaster scary? (I highly doubt it)

Not at all

Question 4: Does Pizza Oom Mow Mow have good food?

They have the same menu as Pizza Port

Question 5: Is the DRR running this week

Yup! I went on it on Sunday!

Question 6: Is the Columbia Sailing Ship running if the Mark Twain isn't?

Nope. Columbia doesnt do round trips while there is construction on TSI

Question 7: Where does Maynard work right now?

He was last seen at the Opera House
Answers above!^^^

Re: Last Minute Trip Questions

Question 1: If you get seasick from rocking boats, do you suffer very much on Grizzly River Rapids?

-I don't get sick from the rocking of the boats, but more from the spinning of them around the attraction. Generally not that sick though, just more dizzy.

Question 2: How is Big Thunder for scares compared to Splash? Remember I'm a bit of a scaredy cat.
-Not quite as mich by the way of drops, just a few close calls and tunnels that can be a bit scary if you have your hands in the air, but you won't hit anything.

Question 3: Is Mullholland Madness scary if I don't find Gadget Go Coaster scary? (I highly doubt it)
-Probably not. But my mother is terrified of Mullholland Madness so much it is just funny.

Question 4: Does Pizza Oom Mow Mow have good food?
-I tried to find out last Friday, but they shut the doors on me.

Question 5: Is the DRR running this week?
-Yes it is. Today they were running 3 trains at about noon.

Question 6: Is the Columbia Sailing Ship running if the Mark Twain isn't?
-It's a walk-thru during the day and starts sailing when it gets dark

Question 7: Where does Maynard work right now?
-Dunno. Last I heard it was the Opera House.

Re: Last Minute Trip Questions

Question 1: If you get seasick from rocking boats, do you suffer very much on Grizzly River Rapids?

I'd be more worried about the spinning. The rocking isn't that bad, but sometimes you get in this spin and... ugh... some cool water splashed on the face helps. (I still love this ride though.

Question 2: How is Big Thunder for scares compared to Splash? Remember I'm a bit of a scaredy cat.

If you sit in the front seat it's not very scary at all.

Question 3: Is Mullholland Madness scary if I don't find Gadget Go Coaster scary? (I highly doubt it)

This ride is more intense than GGC, The scary isn't from speed or drops, but from crazy hairpin turns

Question 4: Does Pizza Oom Mow Mow have good food?

I likes it. the chicken pasta stuff is fantastic

Question 5: Is the DRR running this week

Yes... right?

Question 6: Is the Columbia Sailing Ship running if the Mark Twain isn't?

unless they are both in refurb.

Question 7: Where does Maynard work right now?

sorry, no help

No clue.

I'm a scaredy cat too and BTMRR is my fave coaster. It's different than Splash IMO... faster, of course. The only scary parts are the dark parts (in BTMRR). The only SCARY part of Splash is that roller coaster drop, for me (ok, maybe that big one too ) I guess it just depends on what you find scary!

Question 3: Is Mullholland Madness scary if I don't find Gadget Go Coaster scary? (I highly doubt it)

The scary part of MM to me is the top where you have sharp turns. The hills are great. I find it about the same scary wide as Gadgets. Oh MM has hard stops as well so it really doesn't go very fast.

Question 4: Does Pizza Oom Mow Mow have good food?

Pretty good. Its' about the same as Pizza Port.

Question 5: Is the DRR running this week

Yes, it's up again for a few weeks

Question 6: Is the Columbia Sailing Ship running if the Mark Twain isn't?

Yes, but only at night. It's docked during the day

Question 7: Where does Maynard work right now?

Opera House, I believe.
have a great trip!

Re: Last Minute Trip Questions

Thank you so much everyone for the help. Sorry to bombard everyone with questions, but I have a few more.

How is the River Rapids spinning in comparison to the Teacups?

Is the Golden Zephyr about the same as the Astro Orbitor but higher up?

I don't think I've ever been on a really busy Spring Break. I know to go clockwise around Disneyland, but what attraction is best to start at around 11:30 AM?

GRR is not nearly as bad at Teacups, but you can get that one raft as well as if you're already a bit queasy...but nothing as bad as teacups at all.

Golden Zephyr is nothing to grand and with the lack of control of the height it's more of a yawn.

Re: Last Minute Trip Questions

depends. I think the teacups are worse.

Is the Golden Zephyr about the same as the Astro Orbitor but higher up?

No, the Golden Zephyr is more like.... well.... it spins. it's more comfortable by far. If given a choice between the Astro Orbitor and the Zephyr, I'd choose the Zephyr every time.

Well... 11:30 is a pretty bad time to start on a busy Spring Break day. (I doubt the validity of the whole clockwise thing...) If you are going to be there more than that one day, and the first day you won't be there till 11:30, I'd go to DCA the first day and get an early start at Disneyland the second day, like at opening.

Re: Last Minute Trip Questions

Zephy freaks me OUT. I don't like going over the water. Astro's better because it just goes up not out. Astro = Dumbo.

If you're going clockwise at 11:30 that'd put you at Tiki. Grab a Dole Whip
