What restaurant/food service would you like to see at DL?

What would you do?

This can be anything from a full table service restaurant, to a cart vendor. We can include DCA as well. And you don't have to pick a major sponsor, but you can if you like. Feel free to theme it out all you want.

I'll start off with a couple: I'm sure more than a few would love to see an authentic Pink's hotdog stand at DCA -- I think that'd be pretty apropos for DCA...and it would be a line I wouldn't mind waiting in.

My idea for Disneyland -- and I don't know if they have enough space there -- but I'd like to see the old Skyway entrance Alpine Chalet in Fantasyland made into a Bavarian themed restaurant. I haven't thought of a major sponsor for it, but I envision sit-down service with waitresses in dirndls serving wienerschnitzel and other great German food. They could build out a patio for tables so guests could have a panoramic view of Fantasyland and the Matterhorn in the distance. Perhaps some background accordion music playing Disney tunes.

Well, here's a few that are chains.

- Cheesecake Factory
- Red Lobster
- Olive Garden

I'd also like to see a really good Mexican restaurant put into Downtown Disney. As well as a multiple story restaurant with a beautiful view of the fireworks.

I've mentioned this a ton of times but there needs to be character dining in Toon Town. That place would be more fun if there was a full on restaurant up there.

I also think Tomorrowland could have an elevated table service dining facility high above... say maybe on top of Innoventions. The round restaurant would have fantastic window views of the entire area as well as a higher balcony area for prime fireworks viewing.

Toon Town DEFINITELY needs some kind of a restaurant!! It has been said before (even by me!) that a great fit would be a "house of mouse" style where it is character dining with all of the obscure characters coming out now and then. I know a few people on this board that would hang out there quite a bit just for some of those random appearances!

I also think a Harry Hausens next to Monsters Inc would be cool. Too bad they couldn't do a "blue bayou" and build it so you are "in the ride" during that scene!

Chinese food. That Lucky Fortune Cookie restaurant never seemed to have worked out. But I would like some decent fast food Chinese food. Stir fries, rice dishes, egg rolls. A chinatown for DCA maybe?

I would like to see them do a nice themed sit down joint for each land if they could. NOS is covered ( I know there's a debate about how good Blue Bayou is right now but cut me some slack.) A nice one on Main Street with a lot of home cooked type things, like pot roast, baked chicken, stuff like that. I like the German restaurant idea that was brought up to go with fantasyland and the toontown idea. Tomorrowland would be sort of hard, how do you make a futuristic restaurant?

DCA could maybe have places that started out in California, Im not to familiar with Pinks, but I do know about Kaspers hot dogs. Im sure there are other places that are California originals.

I just noticed I really said nothing in this post, oh well!

(Author's Note: I'm not cool enough to think Starbucks is uncool like so many other hipsters do now. I used to really like Deidrich's, but they were bought out by Starbucks. So if anyone can think of a great espresso/coffee chain to replace the muck that the Park serves via it's tired old Nestle' sponsorship, or replace the pathetic service and quality of espresso drinks at La Brea Bakery in Downtown Disney, then please share. In the meantime, I'll stick with Starbucks.)
