Finding Nemo Queue and Grad Nites in June

I just thought about this..

We have Grad Nites on June 13th, 14th and 21st, which is shortly after the FN:SV ride opens.

They are going to HAVE to cut off the line to make sure they clear the park by 10 PM.

Should make some VERY interesting situations, guests "attitudes" and a very busy City Hall....

I feel for the CM's working, as they are going to get to hear from some "not too happy" guests....

I don't think it'll be that much drama. If it's over a 2 hour line they could cut it off a bit before 8 and still be fine enough, blast off is at 11:30 usually in dca, and even if the rest of the park has to be cleared by 10, they wouldn't have that much trouble keeping track of people exiting the submarines a little later than that and getting them out.

Last summer, Splash Mountain could reach a 210 minute wait during Peak Summer, that is 3 and 1/2 hours for a ride that is almost 20 years old!!!

I am thinking more like 6 hours, especially the first week, with all the Media coverage of the Press Event Sunday the 10th....

This is the first new "E" ticket opening in Disneyland since Indiana Jones, which also had about 6 hour waits when it first opened, and there are a LOT more AP holders today than about 10 years ago!

Maybe I just like chaotic situations, but I really wants to see insane, six-hour lines for this ride. It only solidifies the popularity of Disneyland and encourages more investment in the park!

Nope, the longer the lines, the better the pictures

I am trying to be up front and honest with some of the problems that will happen in June, and I came up with this "problem" earlier today answering a question over at TripAdvisor.

It is going to be an interesting month......

I often joke about a formula I call the ride popularity quotient. That is minutes of wait time divided by minutes of the attraction duration. Anything above 10 is very popular. For example, the peter pan flight attraction is 45 minute wait but the attraction duration is 3 minutes. Quotient is 15 !

Lets look at Nemos Submarine Adventure: 360 divided by 20 is 18 !! whoa!!
I think I am going to have to make due with a youtube video of the attraction at least until the quotient comes down to 10 or so.

Shame on Disney for not investing the additional capital to make the subs longer (per Al Lutz on Micechat.com) and for not investing in Peter Pan's Flight to add more riders per vehicle (per Al Lutz and micechat.com)

Also keep in mind that Splash Mountain has a minimum height requirement of 40 inches keeping alot of small children off it and out of that line but Nemo will have no height requirement meaning even more people in line and longer wait times than Splash. Children will be allowed to ride in laps however cast members will still only be allowed to limit each sub to only 40 guests regardless. One sub breaking down will mean capacity will really take a beating and lets not even think about 2 or more subs going down for the count. A complete breakdown won't be pretty either. And I'm sure some guests will be slow going up and down those stairs and cast members will be slow at times loading. New hires will probably be needed for the opening team since the seasoned ones have no interest because they know what awaits which mean they will be really slow at loading. The old subs were a new hire attraction also before it closed. Not having fastpass is a good move but we all know it will be the number one complaint city hall gets. Yes I feel sorry for the guest relations cast members myself. Hope they have lots of tylenol. LOL.
