    Remember fireworks missing key element?

In an earlier thread there was a passing reference to the fact that the castle projectors are missing from the Remember fireworks show.

Does anyone know for sure if this is a temporary or permanent thing?

It was so much better in the days of the old fireworks show.

My two cents. Now on with the topic.

I guess removing the projection part was their answer to changing it from the 50th. Or more likely a way to trim costs a little.
I did miss it last time, but I still love the show.

What? They removed the projections? Is that the only change?

I think it has more to do with the new projections that will be put in place during the upcoming holiday fireworks where the castle looks like it got fresh snow or something.

I doubt they were taken out to cut costs. I can't imagine how much money they would save on removing infrastructure that is already there and only takes a few more cents of electricity to run.

From what I have heard (not having seen the show in person) the only other change was to the opening dialog. It was edited to remove references to the 50th anniversary.

They changed the launch location of some pyro. Some of the pyro that used to come from near TDA now is launched from the castle, which is why there is no longer seating in front of it.

Could it be that eliminating the projections would make it less important to guests to clog the hub... thereby eliminating some of the overcrowding?

There are some missing flame eruptors during the Indy segment, when the flames shoot out from the castle. In older 50th anniversary version they would shoot out 4 flames on each side. Now it's only two. Small thing but it is missing.

lets see they took the projectors out because they broke alot and they started sinking into the moat.... one sank completly I have heard they are not coming back. The flames, there was never 4 only 3 on eac side and they had 2 when they were repainting the castle. I saw it yesterday and three were there. As with tink it really depends sometimes she flies sometimes she doesnt last night she didnt last week I saw it she did.

I doubt it. Watch a video of a performance from 2005 and watch it at the park now. It's exactly the same.

Sam, I'm positive the projectors didn't sink into the moat.
However, they're not as expensive as the Small World projectors, so it's not a huge loss if they did.
