They are in fact real people and real people who are out in the sun all day should wear some type of eye protection. I'm sorry if your entire day is torn to shreads by the mear sight of sunglasses but I think it's too much to ask for individuals to risk damage to their vision just because the look upsets you.

I wear contacts, which makes the sun even brighter in your eyes and if I worked outside I would never work for a place that would not let me wear sunglasses. I see the point that you are making, but let them wear themed sunglasses at least. Would you rather have a CM squinting at you and you thinking they were giving you the evil eye ?

I mean, how am I supposed to enjoy myself if I'm walking down Main Street, and I see a Cast Member wearing sunglasses? I mean really? Here I am walking down said street with a big smile on my face, happy to be in Disneyland away from the world, and this joker has the gall to wear sunglasses when he's supposed to be in the turn-of-the-century. They didn't have sunglasses back then. How dare he ruin MY experience! That big smile on my face has now turned into a big frown. I turn myself right around, walk past this defiant Cast Member, give him the evil look, letting him know how disgusted I am. I walk into City Hall and make a formal complaint about the Bad Show. The Cast Members in City Hall can't possibly understand the anger that's flowing thru my body. I bid them good-day and walk out of the Main Street building, almost in tears. Clearly distraught, I walk to the Disneyland Railroad. After all that walking and anger, I was a little hot and then sun wasn't helping either. As I sit at the station waiting for the train, this female Cast Member walks up and down the station, and guess what, she also is wearing sunglasses!
This totally ruins the theme of a 1900s train station! I guess I have another appointment with City Hall. The same thing happens in Frontierland. How dare these Cast Members wear sunglasses when they're supposed to be in an 1890s mining town. I am just horrified at the sight of seeing sunglasses in a land where sunglasses do not exist! How dare they ruin MY experience and destroy the theme. Who do they think they are trying to protect their eyes?! They should be suffering with the heat, just like real life in 1890 Painted Desert.

Ever since that day, I've seen Cast Members wear sunglasses passively, as if they just don't care that they are ruining guests experiences, especially my experience. Sunglasses should be banned from the dress code. No sunglasses unless it fits your work station. If you insist on protecting your eyes, you have hands. Sunglasses are totally unacceptable at Disneyland. If we don't come together and rid them of sunglasses, what's next, sunscreen? I mean, you'll be seeing Cast Members passively applying sunscreen all the time, passing bottles to one another. You can't wear sunscreen in Main Street and certainly not Frontierland, it totally ruins the theme and no doubt it will ruin my experience.

Sorry for my rant, I just can't stand to see these Cast Members having any sort of life inside Disneyland, except for the show. It just irritates me. It ruins my experience and the magic. Disney's always saying that we should "believe...", well how can I when these Cast Members keep ruining my experiences?

LOL, yea! shame on those CM wearing Glasses. How dare them.

hey now lets critique their shoes! And dont forget their teeth. We don't want any CM's with braces or crooked yellow teeth.

if youre constantly working outdoors you need to protect yourself from the elementts.

now if youre selling fruit on Main St, I guess you could go out of your way to say that in 1800's America people didn't wear such things.... but wouldn't you rather

have a happy CM with 20-20 vision helping you out

OR an angry one whos constantly being blinded by the sun.

With the amount of sarcasm harvesting you've been doing lately you'll need waders around your computer.

OK, well if I ever go to Hong Kong Disneyland, MY experience will not be ruined if I see them wearing sunglasses. But here in America, it is an OUTRAGE! It RUINS MY Experience. How many times must I say it? Sunglasses ruin my entire day! If I see one pair in any of Disneyland, except maybe Tomorrowland, I go crazy. I try to walk down Main Street without looking at any Cast Members, but sometimes I have no choice. I once looked a heartless Cast Member wearing sunglasses on the Sailing Ship Columbia. I couldn't take it anymore, I walked to him, pointed my finger, and said, "Just wait till MiceChat hears of this." I turn around, almost in tears, and walk to the front of the ship; I turned myself around and shouted at him, waterworks coming, "Thanks for ruining my experience!" I turned around and buried my face in my hand.

This sunglass problem has really gotten out of hand.

I can't believe that some of you actually thought I was serious about this. Only a few of you figured out I was being sarcastic. My life would be extremely sad if my entire day was ruined when seeing CMs try to protect their eyes. I was trying to make a point here.
