Don't get me wrong, I love Buzz Lightyear, it's a great attraction and a very smart use of the building. But as I said elsewhere this week, I loved the old Circlevision 360 movies, and wish they could have at least been brought out on DVD.

I miss Circlevision!!!! America the Beautiful was wonderful. I loved the feeling that you'd get when watching it. You'd have to hold on the railing to keep from tipping sideways! ha!

I thought they were very cool too, but somehow even if they had them out on DVD, it wouldn't be the same without the 360 immersion of the film.

I enjoyed American Journey's. Buzz is ok and is a crowd absorber, but I see it getting an overlay or change in the next ten years. It just doesn't have staying power.

I honestly don't remember anything older than the rocket rods really. I remember a screen that wrapped around the theater and then there were phones you could listen to inside the theater? I remember listening through there. I also remember sitting in the waiting room area with all the cartoon artwork. Did any of the artwork ever move or is that me thinking incorrectly?

I like Buzz a lot... but miss the old Circlevision films. America The Beautiful was... well, beautiful. It was the Soarin' of its time. Perhaps the 21st century requires more thrills and excitement than just watching a film.

I wonder what they'll replace HISTA and Golden Dreams with.

Re: Your Favorite ride in the Circle Vision Building!

I am saddened at Circle-Vision's current "endangered species" status- granted it was already closed at Disneyland (though the theater was still there and merely a part of the Rocket Rods queue), but the attraction also replaced The Timekeeper (another CircleVision film never ported to Disneyland) at both Paris and Tokyo. Timekeeper also closed at WDW, meaning the only two CV films left are O Canada and Wonders of China at Epcot. At least we know (?) that they wont be replaced with Pixar themed rides like their late bretheren.

Despite this, BLAB is a great ride with a fast-moving queue that is both fun, interactive, and has a high re-rideability factor. Truth is, once you've seen America the Beautiful, you've seen it. You might want to see it again, the 360 effect is pretty neat, but without constant change the attraction stagnates in a park with a large local fanbase. I'd say WDW can get away with it since the average visitor is an out of towner and either hasn't seen the film before or hasn't seen it in a while and wouldn't mind seeing it again.

My thought that the movies were short enough (and there's enough storage space on a DVD) that they could use the "angle" function on the DVD to let you pan in various directions of the show, or even perhaps just watch one screen at a time.

The movies were creative, and had some great cinematography, and I miss all of them.

    BLAB.

As impressive as CircleVision 360 films are/were Buzz is just FUN!
Something I don't recall any film I ever saw in CircleVision ever being.

Space Ranger Spin seems to still be doing fine. I think it is safe to say that Toy Story is here to stay.

I really enjoy CircleVision 360 films, but I agree that a film can only be seen so many time. I also don't really remember the films at Disneyland as I was rather young.

I loved the circle vision films, I think it was America the beautiful where you went river rafting (if my memory serves correct) I use dto love that one!

That being said, I really do love BLAB and it does seem to have as someone else stated more re-rideability, and a very fast moving queue.

I would love to see circlevision come back somewhere at DLR.

    A little piece of heaven
