I have not ridden the Casey Jr. Train nor the Storybookland thing, and I hear these two rides referenced a lot. I know they are not "E-ticket" rides, but are they worth my time riding? (OK, I know that's a matter of opinion, but I'm very interested in hearing some)

They´re rather cute. I think it depends on how much you enjoy scenic things or not.

It would also be wise to pick one over the other, since they cover much of the same area. The train plays it´s music and you kinda just chug along stuff...the canal boats give you more of a tour. I´d personally pick the boats over the train.

I thought that they did away with the SR line for Splash. Am I (hopefully) incorrect?

Indy lost its single rider. Splash still has it.

Maybe it was WDW's Splash that lost its single rider. Anyway, next L.A. trip is in 3 weeks, so I'm glad I still have this option!

Yup... I think that is the single most valuable tip anyone can give... Get that fast pass to splash early... Else you may find yourself spending an extra hour or two in line...

At least it's the summer and you have longer days... So waiting in line and getting everything you want to see in isn't so bad as it would be in the winter...

Re: One day visit - tips or hints???

Just wanted to give everyone a HUGE thanks! Our day was magical and a smashing success. Thanks to planning, fastpass, and single rider lines here's what we did that I can remember (in no particular order). (8am-12 midnight)
    Splash Mt. - Twice
    Space Mt. - Twice
    Indiana Jones - Twice
    Big Thunder
    Pirates
    Haunted Mansion
    Tiki Room
    Jungle Cruise
    Pooh
    Mt Toad
    Pinnochio
    Matterhorn
    Roger Rabbit
    Buzz
    Tower of Terror
    Soarin over California
    California Screamin
    Mulholland Madness
    Fireworks
    Fantasmic

There was not a single thing that we wanted to do that we didn't! And we had a few doubles!

In addition, there were 2 nice meals, lots of shopping, and photography.

Thanks to EVERYONE whose tips made it be an extra special day. I'm sure you get tired of people asking about this or that, but it really helped!

I can just about guarantee that no one here gets tired of the questions. That's one of the main reasons a lot of us hang out online - to show off our Disney knowledge!!!

Glad you had such a great time, but boy I bet you slept great that night!

Wow, impressive list! Personally, I commend you for putting in the effort to research your trip and learn how to make the most of your day. Most tourists don't, and so they don't end up being able to do nearly as much. And of course, now that you know all the secrets and trips, the next time you come to the park, you'll be a pro.

Hey! You can't post here without at least one complaint, no matter how minor, about your day! It's the rule. I'll give you a pass this time, since you're new. But next time, be prepared.

Impressive ride list, by the way.

OK, fine..I'll complain about something. How bout the guy on the last page who flamed me for thinking I thought DL was in Los Angelas? (when I never said it was)

Another neat thing, guess who was sitting near matterhorn to watch parade of dreams.....Wayne Brady. Didn't expect to get a celeb. sighting. Guess he took the family to DL that day just like many of the other people in the park!
