"Picture This" - Disneyland & Disney World Similarities

Usually when I come back from a Disney trip, I spend a lot of time looking at, and sorting all my photos. Last night, I noticed just how many things there are at Disneyland that are in one way or another similar to another thing at Disney World. I am talking about structures, signs, rides, etc.

I decided it would be a fun thread, to just show these two similar things side by side.

I will continue to post these "pairs", until I run out of examples.

Feel free to add your own.

The first example is the front of Disneyland, and the front of Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.

I love these side by sides as long as they stay fun and not a compition between the two. Right now im to lazy to dig up the WDW pics but I'll be posting later. Its always fun to see things side by side though. Great thread! so far.

I love that each park has its pros and cons....but stands alone as its own park

No, I agree. I visit both parks, and I appreciate each for what it is. I have put together a bunch of examples. There are more than I had imagined at first.

I debated which forum to put this in, at first. They are photos from the parks, after all.

Ahhh Barbara, someone is already many steps ahead of you, for many years now. There is a website dedicated to this very topic. It's called "Anaheim to Orlando" and you can find it here:

I will definitely check that out, when I am finished with my MiceChatting for the day.

Due to all my vacations to both themeparks, I have taken a lot of pictures. I suppose this could even be taken a few steps farther, with the fact that there are more than "2" Disney Parks.

I just happen to only have photos of those 2.

In fact, now when I visit the parks, I go with the intention of taking photos of many things that I don't have pictures of.

I just purchased a digital camera, and so I am missing a lot of key items, at the moment.

I will be posting pictures of the castle of course. I am really hoping to find the pictures that I took before the Walt Disney World Castle was decorated for the 50th. Then I can post a normal castle from each park.

Whats up with the Magic Kingdom's Small World? Is it just the outside that is small or is the ride shorter than ours?
