    2 days before we leave

Well its two days before we leave for disneyland and my kids still have no idea that they are going. I can't wait until thursday morning when I wake them up at 3:30 am to catch our flight. We are not going to tell them anything.Im sure once we get to the airport they will start to wonder what is going on.

We will be in disneyland from Apr 19 to Apr 23.

Is there anything going on in Disneyland this weekend that we won't want to miss? or any ideas of things to do this weekend in disneyland.

We'll be there at the same time and I think that we didn't choose the best time. Apparently it is going to be nuts there this weekend.

that is the coolest thing ever!!!!

One thing about Sun 4/22, DL is opening at 6:30am and closing early for a travel industry event Sunday night so plan ahead that day. Aside from that have a great trip.

I think it is great your surprising your kids we did that before but we were driving and waited until we got to CA to put on our Disney ears and tell the kids we were going to D'land.

We are going this weekend also and expect it be crazy busy but we just plan ahead and use the Fastpass info provided by Darkbeer and other MC'ers.

I'd say get a look at the "Electrical Parade" in California Adventure, it's worth it ... but plan on being there at least 45 minutes prior to parade start to get a good spot. Since this takes place at night it's a good time to grab some snacks, sit down and relax. After that you can walk over to Disneyland and catch the Fireworks Spectacular ... which I have yet to see.

Aladdin & Jasmine's StoryTale Adventures is quite fun too, especially for smaller kids.

Plus, I always enjoy the Flag Retreat Ceremony at 4:30 that takes place on Main Street.

I already read about Disneyland being closed early on that day we are going to do California side after it closes

Might even consider the premium viewing for the Electrical Parade --great view padded(!) seats, nice antipasta snackings AND a glass of wine(!), nice snackbox for the kids -- a little spendy, but dangit, you're ON VACATION!!

Is the Antipasta anything like the Antichrist?

Only 376 days until my Disneyland visit. I'm also having my doubts as to whether late April to mid-May will be a good time for the bi-coastal assault on the US, but I guess it doesn't really matter.

Have fun and the best of luck with your foody treats!

thats so cool!!! just make sure you catch all the parades, and watch Aladdin!!!
If we chase the stars to lose our shadow, Peter Pan and Wendy turned out fine.
