If a tree falls on the Jungle Cruise and the lawyers aren't there to hear it, do they still freak out?

    Jungle Boat accident

On the local news here in L.A. (channel 9) they have just reported that there was an injury on the jungle boat today. In the heavy winds of today a palm tree fell on a boat, with a piece of the tree hitting a 17 year old. The person was transported to the hospital with injuries.

    Wow, that's too bad.
It's really here in Long Beach today too!!
Maybe they need to build the boat canopies out of all that bamboo out there on the ride!
    I hope the kid's alright.

I hope they don't remove the trees, but it may not be a bad Idea to check the branches out and look for weak or damaged branches and remove them. Assuming they don't do that already.

My guess would be they temporary had divers go in and expect the attraction.

Seems like a pretty random event:
    1. The tree falls. How often does this happen, even with the wind as it is?
    2. It falls on a boat as it passes. Barring the boat being docked, this is just way too coincidental to garner any "deliberate negligence" claim.

DIS: Pay the medical expenses. Treat injured and family to Club 33 and overnight stay at GCH. End.

Is this just another example of Pressler's "Grow them to Failure" policy?

    (On a lighter note.)

In that case I think I'm related.

Not sure about Pressure. Didn't Jungle go thorugh a massive refurb last year and didn't they take care of the tree problem?

Thank goodness that tree hit her! She almost had to sit in that boat listen to those horrid jokes! Talk about a close call.

Neck pains are nothing compared to the fierce attacks of a JC skipper and a microphone.

Only one thing worse in the jungle than that tree falling: that three's mother-in-law falling.

I thought that the trees could jump 30 feet, which was good for the boat riders since they're only 10 feet from the tree?

Looks like that tree got it --- in the end.

And on our left is Trunken Ned....

Trees are only dangerous when their ears are wiggling and they're blowing bubbles...
