Why no music last year?

My family has always been a HMH(Haunted Mansion Holiday) fan! We love it and love Nightmare Before Christmas.

When we went last year around when the ride reopened we thought the singing pumpkings were not working for that day only. When we went after Christmas same story. Does anyone know why the scrolls and the pumpkins did not come back?

Are you talking about the scarols outside the mansion or the singing pumpkins in the graveyard? The scarols outside in the queue weren't there at all this year and it was just an imagineering decision. They weren't there when HMH first started either. It had the phantom manor music playing, just like it did this year.

And I was watching a video on Youtube a while ago of the first HMM. It had them and the ghost host nararator.

I miss the scarols. With the line being over 20 minutes it was nice to listen to them and read the words in line as well. Hope they are brought back in 2007.

I was dissapoined when I saw that the scarols were gone... It made the line go by faster!

The music for this year, I'm sorry, was very annoying.

I like it for about 10 minutes and then it gets very old...

The Scarols were also very entertaing, for about 15 minutes, and then it just got old too

I generally avoid Haunted Mansion Holiday to begin with, but I'll go for a spin on it a couple times during the season.

With that said, I despise the scarols that play in the queue. I was very happy the eerie musicbox audio from Disneyland Paris was played instead. The scarols are obnoxious, loud, and headache-inducing. I don't know why they were ever added to begin with.

I have to disagree. When I went to Parris I thought Phantom Manor sounded nice. But it does not work for HMH.

I'm glad the Scarols were gone. I thought they were pretty weak.

The Paris Music is much more elegant and a far better choice, IMO.

Yup! I liked them and I listened to them last Christmas on the HMH soundtrack I have. I miss them too.

Obnoxious? Weren't you the one who wrote the thread about HMH being obnoxious as well? The scarols fit with the ride don't ya think? Both obnoxious!
