Disneyland Monorail System - We Brake for Ducks

While approaching the Matterhorn today on the Monorail we came to a full stop. I thought it was a routine stop because the other train was at the Tomorrowland station. Turns out some ducks were on the beam.

I was in the car behind the cockpit. The Monorail stops and I stick my head out the window a little bit. The pilot honks a duck comes flying off the beam and into the motor boat lagoon.

The Monorail inches forward, stops again, and honks two more times. Two more ducks go flying into the lagoon.

It repeats this process two more times before all the ducks are off the beam and then it continues on. I thought it was pretty funny. Why do ducks think they are entitled to do whatever they want in Disneyland? They are worse than APers!

This has happened before! Someone documented it! Was it darkbeer or frogberto? I can't remember now...

Yeah I searched for this topic but there were threads on this specific topic. It might have been buried deep within a trip report though.

I remember seeing this a couple of times as well. It's kinda funny that ducks slow up this mode of Transportation.
1st Amendment-Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

I've seen it too! We were waiting for the Mad Tea Party and the Monorail stopped and honked once. Then again a little bit longer. Then again for almost 10 seconds and still nothing. Then it began inching forward and a duck flew off! I thought maybe it had broken, but it was just a duck lol.

HBG2 beat me to the photo/link by one minute. LOL! It's a classic duck vs. monorail stand-off.

It's either stop the monorail or start scraping Donald Ducks cousins off the nose of Monrail Red.
