With all of these pics of spash mountain being tested it is making me hope that there MAY be a chance it would open back up early.. it is slated to re-open on May 19. We will be there 4/29-5/5... do you vets think we have a chance?

It is possible. But I am not sure. My sis was at DL last weekend and said it needed work. I was there the weekend before and they still had lots to do.
Little to none. Just a sliver of hope.
(Do note it's about the same as the WDW one, so if you've been on that one, then you've experienced it plenty.)
You should go by every other day or so, to see if the canal has been filled, and if there are any empty or water-filled-dummies riding.
"Here You Leave the World of California Today and Enter the World of, um, er, California Today."
Is it just possible for the private party and then it will close down again?
I think it would be more likely for them to try to have it open for Mother's Day, but that's just me...
Take me to Neverland...
That would be nice.
Yea I doubt it will be open by may 5th there is still more being done inside that you cant see from the photos
Karnever: Do you know if Splash is being hired into? Or how about New Orleans Square?
The only reason I ask is I got hired into attractions.
Splash Mountain will become a newhire attraction when it re-opens, but newhires are not being placed in NOS because a lot of the attractions are down right now.
Yes Splash will be a new hire attraction when it reopens May 18th. It will be nice to see new CMs there. but more then likley new hire training wont start until its back open for a few days to get all the kinks out![]()
According to a Critter Country Attractions CM I spoke with yesterday they are hoping to open on the 18th.
Slightly off topic but does anyone have any info about what's going on inside the mountain? I know they were replacing the lift mechanisms and sprucing up the exterior but is there anything new related to the show? I would hope that they're at least giving everything a fresh coat of paint if not plussing the show a la PoC and Alice.
I'm literally a born Disney fan! I was born at Providence St. Joseph Med Center right across the street from Disney Studios in Burbank. The same hospital where Walt died.
By the way my shirt in the pic says "I like big sharks and I cannot lie"
I personally wish they would replace the water jets. I remember how they used to shoot up twice as high and didn't make a grinding noise.
There is Show upkeep going on also. New Led Lighting, Painting,Landscaping, Fur and Feathers and Costumes for the AAs.
