Smile park's anniversary celebrations

does anyone know where I can find pictures of the castles (whether it be disneyland, magic kingdom, dlp...etc.) of their anniversary celebration decorations?

I cant remember if one of them looked like cake or something...

Re: park's anniversary celebrations

I got confused about why they decided to make it into a giant pink cake. It was the silver anniversary... couldn't they have added tasteful silver accents to the castle? All I can say is thank goodness Disneyland's castle didn't get turned into a cake for its 50th. It still looked basically like it did before, despite the crowns.

Re: park's anniversary celebrations

Paris also had a cake castle for its 1st Anniversary and I have to say its very ulgy even more than WDW's 25th.

That makes me think of that part in the movie.
Will Smith: "Kay, have you ever flashy-thinged me?"
Tommie Lee-Jones "No,"
WS: "I ain't playing with you Kay, have you ever flashy-thinged me?"
A little off-topic, I know, but it still makes me laugh.

As for the gigantic birthday cake, I was there when they had it on my very first WDW trip as a kid, and I thought it was really neat. Last I checked, these Disney parky-like-things are very much aimed at kids, so I think it was mission accomplished on that one. On my second trip to WDW last year I did see the original castle, and it is very nice but I still didn't mind seeing the birthday Bismol cake.

The same person designed all those overlays up until the hat at the Disney-MGM Studios. And it wasn't silver because if they painted the castle silver... well, silver looks grey. And if you used real silver or mirrors or something like that, it would act as a beacon to reflect the heat down into the park... not good in a theme park that is already hotter than heck in the Summer.
