What do you all think? Is this a handy way to carry all the stuff you need for a day at the park (camera, camcorder, water, snack, etc...) or is my inner geek shining through?

camera geek..
plus.. any tan vest is going to have huge negative connotations for awhile due to the shooter at VA Tech
I guess my husband qualifies as a geek. He has one and loves it. Personally, I couldn't find my stuff with so many pockets!

The last few times I've gone I've carried everything in my cargo pants and they've never asked to search them.:
Of course since I have no bag of any kind with me they just wave me on through. Not sure what they'd do with a vest.
A similar style (similar.. not same) vest was used by the shooter in the VA Tech shootings. Walking around with similar garb is sure to get some unnecessary attention.
It would be like walking around in long black trench coats immediately after Columbine.
The bad thoughts are just too fresh in people's minds.
Just use a backpack

I say use whatever you are comfortable with. Even if its a fanny pack.
I don't like to carry anything with me myself (like a back pack) because I don't want to have to deal with where to put it or what to do with it on rides. Hence... my use of cargo pants. But if you want to use the vest, by all means. Use it. Its Disneyland, not a fashion show. The point is to have fun and enjoy your visit. Just remember, June can be pretty warm, at least during the daytime so the vest might be a bit warn unless you just have a light t-shirt under it.
I'd go with geek alert. But if you are in a place where nobody knows you, who cares if the strangers think you are a geek?
I have a similar vest, but I've never taken it to Disneyland. I want to use it, but it can't hold any clothing layers I may need throughout the day. So I just take a small backpack (and never have any trouble with it on rides).
