Space Mountain after its done rockin

I am planning on taking the day off next Monday (April 30) and visiting Disneyland. As far as I can tell, the rockin both parks promotion is over on April 26.

    1) Is this true?
    2) If so, will Space Mountain be closed for any period while they "un-rock" it or can they restore it overnight?

I am hoping Space Mountain will not be rockin' when I visit. There is an outside chance I would change my day off to Thursday if Space Mountain were to be closed that day.

It shouldn't take much effort to unplug lights. You won't even see the crap that was added if the lights are our as originally intended. Plugging in is a bit of a chore. The rest of the attraction's function isn't affected by this overlay.

Second common sense approach: if they were to have to close the attraction down, why would they close it on a weekend? Why wouldn't they simply wait until after the weekend to start any major un-overlaying?

Going from Rockin' to Regular Space Mtn takes less effort than it's taking to make this post.

It's basically like flipping on your light switch. One says Rockin' the other says ... well, something but non-rockin'.

Yes, the traditional version (aka dark) is coming back THIS FRIDAY

They switched to the Rockin' version overnight so there will be no problem having it open Friday morning in the traditional version.

    The lights will be OFF

I miss Rockin' already. I went to DLR two weeks ago, and didn't get to ride because I got sick. I had Fastpasses for both of them, too.

They've been left up since Grad Nite of last year (in addition to what they added for the Rockin' version) so I don't see any reason why they shouldn't stay up.

No, you still have the Rockin' version of both coasters thru this Thursday.

After park closing, they will make the changes needed to convert to the traditional versions. Also will remove the "Rockin" signs in front of the attraction, remove the ads at the Tram Laoding area and DtD, plus get new Glossy Guides to the Magic.

Friday morning at opening, the park will have both coasters open and in the tradtional mode (and will be the last Friday for awhile that California Screamin' will open at opening) as starting next Monday, Screamin won't open until 1 PM Monday thru Friday due to the Toy Story Mania! construction.

I am SO GLAD to have Rockin' over - Yes the music was quite good - matched the intensity and speed, but I HATED seeing so much of the track! So much of the allure of that coaster is that you CAN'T see where you're going (even if you've ridden it a million times and know the track by heart). Those go-go dancers in the sky were weird, and the intro by "Rockin' Joe Benson" (how many people even know his name?) was lame.
