Re: Splash Mountain blueprints!

Thanks, Sub Voyage Fan!

Nautilus, I had thought about that. It'd be fun, but I don't know how the logistics work. I might have to do some nasty file format conversions to get it to work, which doesn't sound very appealing. When the project is more completed, I may consider it...but I dunno.

I'm back from an interesting weeklong trip to British Columbia, and work has resumed on both the site and the model. If you visit Virtual Magic, you may notice that the green area that holds everything has shrunk a little vertically. I was testing the site on smaller resolutions, and the bottom was getting chopped off.

In the world of the model itself, the former estate of the Country Bears has begun to appear. I never really connected with that attraction, which is still better than what I can say about the current Pooh ride, but I felt strangely compelled to make the show building anyway. It has a very strange, complex shape. No roof yet. Notice I've also spent some time stitching together aerial photos for the whole park, and the train tracks have consequently been extended a ways, up into the boonies of ROA. I've also created a very long, thin warehouse building that stretches along the northwest corner of the property; the corner of this is visible at the bottom right of this render.

More to come soon!

Re: Splash Mountain blueprints!

More renders are being uploaded to the website, some of which you've seen and some of which you haven't. There's now a second Construction page, and I think a third may appear before the night's up.

Re: Splash Mountain blueprints!

Very nice new stuff. You might want to put your website in your profile.

Re: Splash Mountain blueprints!

Thanks! Great suggestion, too. I just followed it.

Page 3 is now up. Still more to come...

Re: Splash Mountain blueprints!

Just so anyone who's interested knows, I'll be updating in THIS THREAD from this point on. Once the website's content has caught up with the current state of the model, I'll post updates there exclusively.
