When That Disneyland Goodie Is Unatainable, What Do You Do?

    Come on, you've been there...

You're stuck at work, and suddenly, you're craving a Monte Cristo for dinner. You know very well that you can't drive over to Disneyland to get one, though.

So, what do you do? What is it that you usually crave? How do you satisfy yourself? Or do you just try to ignore it?

I'll go first. As my sn implies, I have this issue with dole whips. I've found several recipes on how to make them, but the process is somewhat extensive and expensive. I was lucky enough to, however, go to Ralph's and discover in the ice cream section pineapple sorbet (with little pineapple chuncks, yum!). The stuff tastes very much like dole whips (and fat free, imagine that! lol), so now I don't suffer so much anymore ^_^

I get Monte Cristo cravings, and I've had Millie's Monte Cristos, but they're just not as good, IMO

I actually found the mix to be pretty good. Can get expensive though..but cheaper than always buying it at Disneyland. I crave everything Disneyland. But living in AZ I just can't drive over. I guess to settle the cravings I just think of my next time out there and eat Breyer's Mint and Chip Ice Cream. It doesn't kill the craving, but it helps.

I usually just tough it out. I always crave pineapple spears and a show at the Tiki Room. For some reason, pineapple at home just doesn't do it for me.

Will trade husband for Disneyland and DCA Pins!

I allways crave a raspberry or cherry lemonade on coke corner. I eventually went to the store and bought grenadine and lemonade. LEmonade and a pretzel with cheese. Man I'm making myself hungry.

Why are you eating Breyer's when the choice Ice Cream of Disneyland is Dreyer's??? (and nestle)

When I crave Dole Whips, I have a pineapple smoothie. I also know how to make Choux Fritters, which helps the cravings.

Well, now you know how those of us in AZ feel.

We have to drive hundreds of miles to get any DLR goodies. You guys gotta drive a matter of minutes...

    Boo hoo for you!

I crave Mickey Hot Cocoa!!! It's sold in Market House, in tins. DelivEARS won't send "food" items in the mail. (Even if it's dry powder hot chocolate!) I live in Seattle!!! Ack! What to do? Well, you PM a couple of MC buddies....plead with them to buy some for you...mail them money....and BOOM.....it arrives in the mail!!!!!!!!!!!

I usually crave a Monte Cristo and Pomme Frites, but I can't do anything about it. I'm in college, what am I supposed to do?
    I like Disneyland...it's pretty sweet.

I just crave those mozzarella sticks from stage door. And I don't know anything else to replicate them. They are so good. Guess I gotta go in the parks when ever I crave them. And darn it, that is now... Argh!

And Ill endure that stupid tortilla factory tour thing in DCA for the free fresh warm tortilla. Mmmmm!

I crave the air...I always tell my friends upon my return that the air at home just isn't as sweet as it is in Disneyland. And it isn't! That smell walking down MainStreet --wafflecones...mmmmm. I've tried to satiate the craving by visiting my local BaskinRobin, but it's just not the same....

Re: When That Disneyland Goodie Is Unatainable, What Do You Do?

I will have to check out Millies Monte Cristo. There
used to be a place at Central and Thomas (se corner)
that served Monte Cristos almost exactly like DL's
unfortunately they changed ownership, and menu,
and there went my Phoenix Monte Cristo)

BUT much better news on the Dole Whip front -
I will just pick up a 1/2 gallon of pineapple sherbert
    at Wal-Mart ~ MMMMMMMMM!!!!!! It's even more
    pineappley than the dole whip!!!!!!
