Food and Wine Weekends update - Menu for Lucky's

Stopped by the DLR yesterday and they had the Menu posted at Lucky's Fortune Cookery for the food items they will sell during the event. This year, all three windows will offer the same things, no need to go to a certain window to get a specific item. Of course, this and the fact that they can't use the Farmer's Market will make less items available for purchase.

The menu is

Lobster and Shrimp Quesadella - $5

Beer-Battered Halibut - $5

White Cheddar Soup - $3.75

Fesitval Cheese Plate - $5

Isreali Couscous with Roasted Pork - $4

California Skewers - $5

Grilled Artichoke - $3.75

Chocolate Marquise - $4

Seasonal Berries - $5

And a selection of wine and Karl Strauss Amber Lager to drink, along with Soft Drinks.

Seems like most of the Farmer's Market from last year was brought back, and most of the stuff sold at Lucky's last year wasn't.

The items will only be sold Friday thru Sunday for the 4 weekends of the event.

A photo of the menu with more detailed descriptions can be found here

Interesting. Thanks for the info, Darkbeer. Interesting that the price for grilled artichoke and the white cheddar soup are down 25 cents this year, and the mixed berries are a dollar higher.

Thanks, Darkbeer. We may now have to make another quick weekend trip before our big June grad trip with the kids.

Thanks for the menu. I'm looking forward to the start of it this weekend. I have reservations for one of the wine receptions and one of the tastings, so far.

Last year, I liked the Grilled Artichoke, but it was a small serving

Same with the White Cheddar Soup, it is served in a bread bowl. But last year it was a DINNER ROLL, so you got very little soup.

The Halibut was quite yummy, but you only get one piece.

Yep, maybe a Tablespoon..... It was a joke of a serving (and alas, was the real amount), hopefully they will have larger rolls this year. Will find out on Friday....

Re: Food and Wine Weekends update - Menu for Lucky's

They're the Boudin "mini-boules" which are small (hand-sized). A snack sampler which should be accompanied by some of the other items on the menu if one needs a full meal.

They're definitely not the regular sized clam-chowder type bread bowls that most people are accustomed to. If it was, the price would likely be 2-3x as much.
