I usually fly out every 2 months. It will be 8 months (wayyyy to long..it's what happens when you buy a house...you don't have money) when I return.
I hope Splash is up and running. It's been down for quite awhile.

To that end I'd like the Internet community to join me in reminding the Disney company that "it all started with Walt." As you can see below we've created some T-shirts, plus a few simple graphics that you can copy and paste into your websites to let folks know how you feel.
It's so nice to see that picture. It does feel like forever since it's been open. I haven't been on Splash in so long but that is mainly my fault since I didn't go the past couple times it has been open and my last trip it was closed for this big refurb. I always get psyched to see it up and running so thanks for pointing this out. Yay for logs!
All attractions no matter if it's flume, steel coaster, or carosels, go through weeks of testing before it's opened to the public. So they will be teasing us with running logs until the scheduled release on the long-awaited 5/18 opening.
The one you're talking about is sometimes on sometimes off, lately off.. And it shoots 2 sets of water blasting from the left and right as you go down into the mist.
The water cannon I'm talking about is the one that's been removed and used to go off every 3 logs and would shoot a large blast of water from a pipe in the briar patch up into the air, clearly visible by everyone watching the logs go down.
WDW's still has something similar to this that goes off EVERY log and, as a result, when you make that first turn and are going by the briar patch you usually don't just get water launched up and dumped on you once but twice heh.
