    Jedi Training Academy

I have not seen this show yet. How do they choose the kids to perform on stage? More specifically, who's palms need to be greased to insure your kid gets choosen?

    Thanks
That was wonderful! Bravo! I loved that! Ah, that was great! Well, it was pretty good. Well, it wasn't bad. Uh, there were parts of it that weren't very good though. It could have been a lot better. I didn't really like it. It was pretty terrible. It was bad. It was awful! It was terrible! Take 'em away! Boo! Boo!

the jedi trainees are randomly chosen. I've seen alot of parents lift their kids on their shoulders and things. That sometimes works. Wearing a costume gets you picked sometimes too.

Try taking a sign, something that says " Master Jedi I am strong with the force" Not a guarantee that your child will get picked but it helps him get noticed. Also get there early and try and get up front. Good Luck.

Just having a kid being enthusiastic more than anything. When I saw the show there was a kid who made a sign and he managed to even get picked. Jumping up and down and whatnot. I think they are also looking for a variety of ages from the young to the older kids as well.

This is so funny! My 8 year old loves the show but he is so shy he never wants to get picked. He hides behind me when they pick the members. I tell him if they pick him I will tell them he doesn't want to do it, but he still hides behind me anyway.

Arrive early and post your kids front and center behind the ropes/chains and tell them to cheer and raise their hands and jump around. If they don't get picked it's their own fault. Just kidding.

Our kids got picked on our second try. Our first time, we were too far back and they were too shy. They saw others get picked and then were dying to do it the next time.

I think the sheer desperation in their eyes got them picked.

Cool. Thanks to all for the info. I appreciate it. Sounds like the childs enthusiasm is the biggest factor. We'll see what happens.

If they don't get picked the first time, just return for the next show.
Hopefully they to will get to fight the dark side with Jedi Barbie!

Oh and watch out for these guys in the lunchtime lines.

    Re: Jedi Training Academy

From what I have seen it is definately the child themself that will get them picked. The Jedi Master tends to pick the KIDS who are acting the most enthusiastic and excited with out being out of control spaz'. They do seem to try to spread the ages around in their picks as well. They don't seem to care how excited the parents are or how much republic credits you are waving at 'em. hehehe.

I just like to think they don't want a SW encyclopedia up on stage to point out the imperfections and all, its a shame I could show them things. If they don't pick me, then I'll become more powerful than they can possible imagine

Can I just say what a dork I am because this show always makes me cry. Not full on boo-hoo crying just misting up. And I am not that big of a SW fan. Just seeing the kids so excited to be fighting Darth Vader.

That being said my 5 year old always hides behind me to not get picked but loves the show.

    Re: Jedi Training Academy

Older kids will most likely not get picked.

Especially if it's a boy wearing a silly birthday cake hat.

He cried really hard when he wasn't chosen. It was quite sad really. He was like... 11.
