OK. So I put baby ducks in all CAPS to get your attention
Yesterday my daughter had the day off and so we took a trip over for the afternoon and evening. She wanted to go on Alice last time we were there but it was too crowded. Yesterday the line wasn't too bad.
Next we headed to Storybook Land. The line was long. Probably the longest line of the day. I didn't even notice the conductor waving to me until I uploaded my photos last night
While waiting in line we were watching the ducks. There was one duck on the monorail track and so waited to see the monorail come by and stop and honk. I had my camera ready but that duck got out of there fast this time so this is the shot I got. Again, someone is waving.
Now a few random shots of Storybook Land.
Had to get this photo of Peter Pan in the park. Frankly I was surprised it came out because I just aimed and shot.
And now ... wait for it ... the BABY DUCKS
This little fellow below was so cute. He was in the water and climbed up those rocks with his little wings held out for balance and made it to the top leaving his Mother and brother in the water. It all happened so fast I only got a shot of him at the top. (Now, they may be she's but I am using the generic he
As we were approaching the dock the ducks were out and one of the cast members had to come and shew them away so the boat could proceed. There were ducks everywhere in the park. As we were walking between the Matterhorn and the restrooms one male duck came flying through that area very low so that everyone was looking and pointing. This happened several times during the day.
Had to take a photo of this for all the Peter Pan fans out there and for Lost Boy in particular
Now for the night time shots. These were taken in Adventureland. I love the lighting in that area as does MasterGracey
The white speck up above the middle torch is the moon
moving on in my quest to get night (or evening) shots
I love the castle at this time as the lights are coming on and the sun has just gone down
I tried to do a reflection shot but it is not as clear as some others
Here are two shots I took walking towards the castle. The first is taken with the night exposure on which means a longer exposure
This second one was taken immediately afterwards with auto exposure and a flash
The first one is kind of blurry but I like the color of the sky better. The second is sharp and crisp. Which one do you like?
Continuing through the castle, I have always liked this painting
and this sculpture
Next I head over to get some shots with a long exposure of lighted moving rides. Here's my best one of Dumbo
Next one of the carousel
This is not moving but we really love the lights in the line for Alice.
Now we'll take a look at the teacups, but have to get a shot of those lanterns first
And now some tea cup action
Now it's time to say goodnight. Another lovely day at the park. Crowds were not too bad and the weather was just right.
Goodnight Evil Queen. Thank you for not putting an evil spell on us
