So far all we know for sure is Midway Mania.

Rumored have been:

Cali Screamin' getting a funhouse overlay for its queue and Disney villians placed around the tracks
Grizzly River Run getting animal animatronics
the entire Grizzly Wilderness area being expanded into Radiator Springs and being rethemed as a 20th century national park area
Maliboomer getting redressed with a Toy Story army men theme
The addition of "carsland"
Mulholland Madness being changed to Crush's coaster
Addition of a lighthouse tower to control Wonderful World of Color nightime show
placemaking changes in both the entrance and paradise pier

Like I said, it's just a rumor (one I don't put much stock in) but if it happens, I'd imagine the costs of such a project would make it pretty permanent.

I don't think the Grizzly Wilderness area will change to Radiator Springs. That whole thing is rumored for the Timon Lot.

Why change the nicest area in the park?

I don't completely understand the last one, but otherwise I think these are all great ideas and they should implement most or all of them!!

oh yeah, and they could definitely add an island or some similar feature in the water. if it were up to me, this would be the best place for a lighthouse feature (on a rock island!). you could then take a short boat trip (make it interesting by adding other features in the water to "tour", like miniature versions of Channel Islands and/or other geographical features. a strong but friendly sized wave pool feature generated from the SE corner would make you feel like you're really setting out on the ocean. when you get to the lighthouse, let everyone disembark and give a quick tour and photo op. better yet just make lighthouse a separate feature with a small bridge to it to tour from the inside, then the water ride could give the ocean view of it up close.

either that or add an exciting water ride sans lighthouse. think speedboat races, or anything similar. something controlled (with rider input?), but fast! either of these would be a remarkable improvement... the latter would easily add another "hit" ride/attraction to DCA and fill the void of nothingness.

holy smokes... they should really hire me in the creative/imagineering dept. see how easy it is when you put your brain to it

with the exception of CS, these are all remarkably generic/boring right now. heck even CS was suffering from a serious lack of good sound to go with the motion until they upgraded the speaker system for Rockin' CS.

yes, there was a rumor about adding a railroad in one of Al's reports. But it is just a rumor. This thread should be called What We Think We Know

Sunshine Plaza:
Sunshine Plaza will be transformed into 20th Century Los Angeles
20th century vehicles will roam from this area here to Paradise Pier
Store and Eatery facades will be transformed into those of the period
The Sun Peel will be transformed into the new Golden Dreams Theater
The Golden Gate Bridge will be transformed into a bridge from that period

Hollywood Pictures Backlot:
Hollywood Pictures Backlot will be transformed into 20th century Hollywood Boulevard
Building facades around Hollywood Boulevard will get 20th century treatment
Muppet-Vision 3-D will close and be transformed into Mickey’s PhilharMagic
Hyperion Theater will transform the outdoor lobby into an indoor lobby

Condor Flats/Grizzly Peak Recreation Area:
Pan for Gold attraction will be built in this area
Both these areas will be transformed into 20th century Yosemite Park
Soarin’over California will be transformed into a different theme for the area
Grizzly River Rapids will be themed with wildlife audio-animatronics
Grizzly Peak Railroad will roam across the Grizzly River attraction

The Bay Area/Pacific Wharf/Golden Vine Winery:
Golden Dreams will close

A Bug’s Land:
Bountiful Valley Farm will close and be transformed into “Carland” with CARS the ride

Paradise Pier:
Paradise Pier will be transformed into a 20th century Boardwalk
Games of the Boardwalk will all be removed to allow new facades
Store and Eatery facades will be transformed into those of that period
California Screamin’ will be themed to a Villains Boardwalk coaster
Toy Story Mania! Will open in 2008 in the middle of Paradise Pier
Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color will take place in the Paradise Lagoon
Maliboomer will be themed into Toy Story soldier parachute ride
Golden Zephyr will be replaced with Lighthouse and relocated to the north side of Paradise Pier
Boat Ride will be placed in Paradise Lagoon
Sun Wheel will get a better queue
S.S. Rustworthy will be removed
Orange Stinger will be removed
Mulholland Madness will be changed into Crush Coaster
