I dont really that place counts as backstage but i think its actually well hidden within the mountains of Autopia.

Yes, there is a backstage and I have also heard some people call it a dry dock, however I don't know if it acts as a real dry dock. You can see it both from the train and from the monorail if you know where to look.

It is just beyond the parade road by it's a small world, on the autopia side of the train track.

i would think its called a subpen, considered there is a tent over most of it. :P
