Red Face Choose a Question . How influential is Disneyland? What If Disneyland Never Existed?

I'm always intrigued to find out what micechatters think... so...

I give you 2 questions. Answer both or just one.

    How influential is Disneyland?

Discuss the power or lack thereof of Disneyland's influence on everyone.

    &

    What If Disneyland Never Existed?

Where would you be spending all your time. What kind of person would you be if Disneyland was not around to associate yourself with it. Would the world have ended by now if Disneyland was not in our lives.

Yes I know, both questions are quite possibly mind blowing. Enjoy some advil if need be and check back when your brain stops throbbing.

Without Disneyland, i dont think i can find another job that lets me work 3 days a week. it is also one place that makes me happy. Everytime i go to work, i always feel like "I dont want to work, blah!" but when i come back, i love the guest interactions and makes me want to keep selling and selling.

To be the honest, i never cared about Disneyland as a kid. I just remember going there like 1 time in my life and that was it.

Well, the disney company is vastly influential. The two most recognized symbols in the world are first the cross, and second: the silhouette of mickey mouse.

    Scary... and awesome.

Disneyland, even as a child, has always been a place where I can get away and forget about life. As an adult after a tough meeting I pack up my family and hit the park for a few days. Some people may say it's too this or too that, but for me when I hand my AP to a CP and they say welcome back (or sometimes welcome home) it feels so good.

If DL never existed the Southlands would be tough. I suppose we would survive but life would not be the same. I suppose I would hang out at the beach but that is not fun.

You know if DL didn't exsist neither would many other parks that base their hub on DL's hub.

Re: Choose a Question . How influential is Disneyland? What If Disneyland Never Exist

Honestly, this might not sound true but I gaurentee you it is...

Before I became interested in Disneyland, well theme parks in general, I was going nowhere and nowhere fast. Failing high school. I'd probably be into drugs right now too, because all my friends are. Right now, if Disneyland wasnt around, I probably would have dropped out of high school. But then Disneyland came along and "inspired" me if you will. It's givin me a reason to work hard and succeed. It is my dream (as well as the dream of many other members here) to become an imagineer, and I know if I work hard and try I might better my chances of becoming one. Even if I don't become an imagineer I at least have started to work hard and givin myself some future as opposed to no future at all.

    Thank you Disneyland!

I can't even think about question number two! It is what I have looked forward to in order to heal from a very painful and stressful year! Where would I go what would I do?

As far as how influential, I think you have to include the entire Disney corporation to really discuss that question. You can't have one without the other.

I'm not qualified to speak as to how influential Disneyland is to everyone, but for me Disneyland has had a big influence. Disneyland made me believe in magic. I thought Abe was going to walk, believed I shrank down to the size of a molecule, and knew Tigger was real. From the first time I entered the park at age 7, I got it. I could see and feel the magic.

Disneyland has also had an influence in my everyday life in terms of how I treat the world. I love how clean the park is and strive for that in my life. I also like how friendly people are in the park. (I only go in the off season so I'm not privy to the ugly summer crowds.) Instead of growling at people, I try to have a smile on my face and only put my best out in the world.

If Disneyland never existed, I wouldn't be here answering this question.

Like K_peek_2000 said. It also influenced me to do better in school considering the fact that I want to become an imagineer aswell. Disneyland is actually the only place i can turn to when I have a problem since it takes every stressful, hard, and hurt pain or emotion away and makes me consider how lucky I am to have what I have and be who I want to be. Yes, people at school calls me a Disney *horse* (you figure that one out by yourself), but I don't really care because Disney makes me happy 5,000% then I am before I get there. Disney inspired me to become a future imagineer and I am already making rides and attractions on Roller Coaster Tycoon.

Disneyland just releases all the problems I am having.
