While I had mentioned this in another thread about Cinco de Mayo, I thought it deserved its own thread:
The C.K. Holliday, Disneyland Railroad engine No, 1, is all set to appear at Fullerton Station May 5th and 6th. You can climb into the cab, blow the whistle and ring the bell, and chat with train CMs. It's really a great opportunity to really get up close to the engine and check it out. The Kalamazoo handcar will also be on display. And best of all, it's all FREE!
(Darkbeer or anyone else with a camera: Maybe you can get us some pictures of the move! I found that the parking structure at Fullerton provided a great vantage point last year when they moved the E.P. Ripley.)
Here's an article from the OC Register. Note that the DRR actually has five locomotives (although one is currently in many pieces).
So, if you're interested in getting a little closer to a true piece of Disney history, why not head out to Fullerton this weekend before heading to the park?
