I think the new additions they already put in are pretty great, but let some time pass between additions to see what really resonates. Jack is larger than life... Barbossa is larger than life...Davy Jones same thing... Elizabeth and Will...they are life size. A painting of Chow Yan Fat's character on the queue wall would make sense though.
As much as I loved the "Barbossa" character in the POTC film, he has no business at the helm of the Wicked Wench--I know to fit the new POTC ride story-line, his inclusion was necessary, but the old Cap'n's dialogue WAS POTC History and its contribution to the ride was colossal--it was even the POTC signature quote for the fireworks show.
Take off what they added before - remember it was the attraction that made the movie - and not the other way around.
It is too 'commercial' with Johnny Depp on the ride. I know he's supposed to be Capt. Jack Sparrow, but no matter how many times you tell me, he's Johnny Depp. And I like Johnny Depp - I think he's a very underrated actor and should have gotten the Academy Award for POTC....but I don't think he belongs in the attraction - nor the rest of the cast.
