There's nutty Disneyland fans, and then there's insane Disneyland fans who make it so personal that they would boo a guy in a place that is supposedly The Happiest Place On Earth.

The man did a lot of great things for Disney during the earlier years of his tenure, yes... but good riddance!

That's the one complication with Eisner. He was a good thing in the beginning, but the later years were trouble.

He's the CEO we all love to hate.

You sound as if you're blaming us, the ones that were there that is. To be honest at the moment it happened I was pretty disgusted. That was not the time nor the place. But looking back, it was memorable all the same, in its own way. Sorta as a reminder of the attitudes.

I suppose there's no arguing with you, so suffice it to say that for me, I was glad I was there and wouldn't take it back for the world.

We were there for both. But I think the kick off date has our attention since it was 2 years ago at the start of this thread. It was a great day.

July 17-18, we were there also. The 17th was AWESOME. Words cannot even describe. Seeing Lonnie, Sherry, Sharon, and Bobby was fantastic. The CMs the morning of the 17th were incedible, lined up along Main St welcoming everyone home. Watching the sea of golden ears as they entered, the cupcakes, everything was just fantastic. We lined up at 5am (we didn't spend the night in the park) and we left at 2am. Leaving that late was something else too, as people were being handed flats of cupcakes.

Possibly because that's when everything 50th-related kicked off? Nothing really to do with the promotional season kicking off, more to do with the events starting that came with it. For example, Buzz, Remember, Parade of Dreams etc.

wish i was there
i saw it in august last year....... wasn't the same crowd reaction, most people have seen it already
I did see it in 6/05 , that reaction was much better
but STILL not as great as the first night
