2 years Today!

Its been 2 years today since the kick off of the 50th started.

Who all was there that day on 5/5/05?

I wasn't there, but I sure did enjoy my visit last August ! The fireworks gave me goosebumps and I'm not the type of person who enjoys fireworks shows !

I was there 05/06 the day after. awww... I knid of miss all the 50th stuff.

I can remember first getting into the whole Disneygeek world just before the plans for the 50th were announced by Julie Andrews at Disneyland on May 5th, 2004. So I always think of the year before the beginning of the 50th as the days when I started my unhealthy obsession with Disney.

I miss the 50th celebrations, but I'm glad that I was a part of Disneyland history.

I wish I could have spent it there, but there was this terrible thing called a Senior Project that had to be done.

I was walking out of the park around 12:20 AM today and I checked out the date and i was like, Wait a second? 5/5? Today has been 2 years since the 50th kickoff.

I was leaving Disneyland. The park closed at Midnight (12:00 AM)

Today is whne the 50th celebration promotion started. Disneyland's 52nd birthday will be on July 17th 2007.

I was there. All day.

Amazing, amazing, amazing day. Best viewing of the fireworks, ever as well- right in front of the Castle. Nobody had seen them before, and hearing the crowd swell in applause, laughter, and cheeering at certain parts was absolutely incredible.

I wish they'd bring back the 50th. Some good old promotion based on nothing but the park itself and what it had to offer. I wasn't there 5/5 but I was on 7/17...and what a day that was. I was there 5/6 and saw the fireworks, the best I had ever seen! Wish I could go back in time.

We were there. One of my favorite memories? We went to DCA on the 4th, while DL was closed. We saw Aladdin. At the end, when the Genie is set free and he goes of stage and they ask where he is going and he says "Disneyland!!!!" Then a second later he suddenly adds "Whaddya mean its CLOSED??"
