I'm confused. If Mr. Jackson started working at Disneyland in 1967, then how could Walt Disney have dubbed him the "Voice Of Disneyland"? Walt died in 1966.

And where does this place the more famous Jack Wagner on the "Voice of Disneyland" totem pole?

Ah. This is so sad.


Do we still hear his voice today on the annoucments?

Just because Walt died doesn't mean he gave up being the 'head' of Disneyland.

Well technically it does.. cos.. he died.

But that's besides the point.

If someone is dead, they can't do anything really, let alone appoint someone as something.

Wait. Something is not right here. Jack Wagner was always known as the "Voice of Disneyland". His voice is still heard to this day on many attractions as Disneyland promised to keep his voice in top shape by taking his recorded announcements and making digital copies. He can still be heard today at the Train Station and Matterhorn to name just 2. To be honest I never heard of this other guy, and TP2000 is right. If he moved here in 1967 Walt Disney could not have named him "The Voice of Disneyland". Walt did pass on in 1966, and smart alek remarks aside, could not have named him anything. What announcement in the Park did he do? I know Darkbeer did not make those statements, they were quoted from another source, and that source has made a big mistake in the dates and the information. As far as I know, Jack Wagner has been the only one named as the official "Voice of Disneyland".

You guys aren't really getting the point. Jack Wagner was the voice of disneyland. He passed away and we've had another guy for a while now, who has since been "Th e voice of disneyland." Some refer to it as "The Voice of God" if you prefer. And he died. Whether Walt ever walked up to the guy and told him "hey you're the voice of disneyland" is irrelevant and rude to spend 10 posts arguing about.

If Paul Frees did the Ghost Host, and he died, is he still considered the Ghost Host?

So I have never heard of this guy. I did a search for him and nothing came up other then the the quoted link. So I would like to know who this guy is/was.

How very sad, here's another example of my brain not working, I thought Walt died in 1969, but I check and I was wrong yet again!(and I read a bio on him!!):blush: Anyways, I like his voice on the speils!(maybe they ment 1957?)

Who is he? What did he do?

Now wait, is this the guy who translates for Donald in the cartoons? That's really the only other disney voice I can think of who could be remembered by that title. I dunno...too bad all the good ones are going.

According to this site : http://www.burnsland.com/voices/dl.shtml Bill Rogers took over the job as "The Voice of God" after Jack Wagner and has been doing so since 1991. Furthermore, if someone types in Bill Rogers into Wikipedia, the same info comes up. Interesting thing is that there is no mention of this other guy anywhere and I have never heard of him until today.

So anyway, I'm not sure what the deal is but I just thought I'd throw out this little info I've found.
